Let’s Talk Gunpla Vol.317

Now we finally have official word on the cross..no the Maneuver Striker’s release date!

HELLO! We are back!

In today’s 317th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will be taking a look at P-Bandai’s latest Gunpla offering! FINALLY! P-Bandai has officially released more details on the upcoming MG Eclipse’s Maneuver Striker expansion set!

So, without further ado, let us now get into it, shall we?

MG 1/100 Maneuver Striker Pack for Eclipse Gundam (MG)

Release Date: November 2021
Estimated price: JPY 3,300 (MYR RM 127.21* / USD $ 30.06* / EUR € 25.44*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

Honestly, we are surprised to see this announcement. Yes, after the magazine reveals, this news shouldn’t come as a surprise to us all here. In fact, we are supposed to be expecting to hear about it soon.

However, we didn’t expect it to be this soon. We thought P-Bandai would announce it much closer to the MG Eclipse’s release instead. That is why when we saw this news, we found ourselves quite surprised by it.

But even with that said, we are still happy that we get to learn more about this badass expansion!

As we suspected, this expansion doesn’t really come with any additional items. You really only get the Maneuver Striker unit by itself. But admittedly, we somewhat hoped that P-Bandai would at least add in something extra for us.

Regardless, from what we can see here, we do think that this is still quite a good value expansion set for the MG Eclipse. Because it does help to make an already badass MG kit look even more of a badass here.

Not to mention, the more we look at it, the more we think that this is starting to look like Crossbone Gundam’s backpack unit. We reckon it functions the same way too.

Anyways, we do hope that we get to finally see this backpack unit in action since it does look like we might be able to catch the Eclipse’s adventure through Gundaminfo’s Eclipse manga updates. Yes, it seems that Bandai is planning to release the Eclipse manga chapters through their Gundaminfo channel. But for how long, that we are not sure.

Maybe if the support for the manga is there, we might see more of it there? We do hope so.

Quite frankly, the more time we spend staring at this, the more we are really looking forward to getting the MG Eclipse and its expansion set. Although, we have a feeling that this might not be the only Striker unit that the MG Eclipse will be getting from the P-Bandai side. We suspect we might see more variants of the MGM Eclipse’s striker packs in the near future.

With that concludes our 317th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment for today. Since there are still more P-Bandai kits to talk about, we will be back again this coming Saturday (hopefully) with a new blog post. So, please do look forward to that!
