Let’s Talk Gunpla Vol.320

CLEAR-ly Beautiful

HELLO! We are back!

In today’s 320th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will again take the time to look at The Gundam Base Limited’s new Gunpla release announcement! It’s interesting to know that immediately after we talked about the previous The Gundam Base Limited gunpla release announcement, they have another new one announced set for August 21st release.

So, without further ado, let us get into it, shall we?

MG 1/100 ZGMF-1000/A1 Gunner Zaku Warrior (Lunamaria Hawke Custom) (Clear Color)(MG)

Release Date: 21st of August 2021
Estimated price: JPY 4,730 (MYR RM 181.20* / USD $ 42.95* / EUR € 36.45*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

Honestly, we are not surprised to see this kit getting the clear-color treatment, especially when we saw how the MG Lunamaria’s Zaku sold here.

However, we’re surprised by this Gunpla announcement because we found ourselves to be quite a fan of this clear-colored variant of the MG Lunamaria’s Zaku. Why? Well, that is because we are never a fan of clear-colored kits. Yes, there are good-looking clear kits released out in the wild, but often these clear-colored kits look terrible. So after spending time staring at this release, we are pleasantly surprised to find ourselves quite enamored by what we see here.

But then again, after seeing how good this clear-colored MG kit looked, honestly? It’s not that surprising. Because it does look like The Gundam Base Limited chaps did a pretty decent job here. For once, they made the clear parts look like they used expensive plastic materials instead of looking like they used some garbage bin plastic materials.

Looking at this, we can’t help to wonder if Bandai is starting to nail the way one designs clear-colored kits like this. Because man, if they keep this up, we would be more inclined to add in clear colored kits in our list of ever-growing Gunpla want list!

So, to the uninitiated, you might be wondering, what do we get here?

Well, basically all you get here is just a Clear-colored MG Lunamaria Zaku. There is nothing new added in this version, you really get all the same things, but as we mentioned earlier, you get them in clear-colored form.

But unlike some clear-colored kits, the one that we see here is a good-looking one.

But just like our previous post, we do have one thing that we are annoyed with here. That would be the fact that The Gundam Base Limited chaps didn’t include in the waterslide decals for this kit, especially when they know that this clear-colored kit would go really well with one.

Yes, officially, there isn’t one sold to the masses yet since the only known version of the waterslides is currently exclusive to P-Bandai releases. But goddamn, can’t both The Gundam Base Limited and P-Bandai work together for once in making sure the exclusive limited releases get the best treatment?

Regardless, we all here find this release quite exciting and really can’t wait to finally get this version of the MG Lunamaria Zaku displayed in the Homebase!

With that concludes our 320th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment for today. Although it does remind us to start work on our own MG Lunamaria Zaku sitting in our ever-growing backlog.

But first, we really need to start work completing the HGUC Gerbera-Tetra.

Some of you here may notice that we didn’t post out our usual Saturday blog post. The reason being for that is because Kimi’s Grandmother passed away recently. So out of respect, we decided to postpone the release of Saturday’s blog post to today instead.

Hence why you guys are seeing the post now instead.

Again we wanted to take the time to apologize to your guys for missing the dateline of last Saturday’s post.

Anyways, we will be back again this coming Saturday (hopefully) with a new blog post. So, please do look forward to that!

Oh, one more thing before we go, it would be a tremendous help to us all here in the blog if you guys were to leave a like on our posts and subscribe to the blog if you find yourselves enjoying our gunpla/plamo related posts. We would appreciate it if you guys would take the time to show your support by leaving an upvote on our R/Gunpla posts and by leaving a like on our Facebook and Instagram posts or pages!

We are as well open to any good and bad feedback, so feel free to write away.

Hopefully, by sharing our love and passion for building and writing about gunplas or other plamos here, we hope that it’ll help to inspire all of here to pick up on the hobby. Or better yet, reignite your love and passion for the hobby.

Anyways, we shall see all of you again soon, and we as well hope that you all here have a splendid day and week ahead! Oh as well, do have an excellent time building your awesome gunplas there and until next time.

Ciao!
