Let’s Talk Gunpla Vol.325

The best Destiny Gundam in clear-color

HELLO! We are back!

In today’s 325th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will be again be taking a look at The Gundam Base Limited’s latest Gunpla release announcement for September. Interestingly they’re releasing a clear color variant of a clear-colored kit that they have released previously.

So, without further ado, let us get into it, shall we?

Recently we realized that we have been talking about clear-colored kits in a very positive manner a lot more here in the blog. Which we all here find to be quite funny considering that all of us here originally wasn’t a fan of the clear-colored kits. Somehow, after spending some time talking about it, we admit that we developed a deeper appreciation for these clear-colored kits, especially when they’re starting to release ‘clear-colored kits that looked absolutely amazing.

So then, what do we think of the clear-colored version of the HGCE Heine’s Destiny Gundam after we said all of that?

Well, honestly? We think this kit looked quite all right. Not the best clear-colored HG kit that we’ve seen, but it is alright.

However, the thing that we are surprised about when we see this is that the original effect parts that they included in this version of the HGCE Heine’s Destiny Gundam look absolutely fantastic when paired with the clear-colored parts! Yes, admittedly, from what we can see here, only the HGCE Heine Destiny effect parts are the only thing that comes without any changes made to it. But honestly, that is not a bad thing since the effect parts, when paired with the clear-colored parts, do make the whole thing look fantastic. So, yeah, win-win.

And, yes, it also was made pretty clear to us all that this kit will come with all the same bits that you get with the retail kit but in clear color (Well, except for the previously mentioned effect parts, of course). So, if you’re expecting something new, well, don’t get your hopes up.

Overall, we are pretty excited for this upcoming The Gundam Base Limited release. Hopefully, it’ll look as badass as we see here because it would be nice to pose it alongside its retail version.

With that concludes our 325th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment for today. Honestly, though, we find ourselves quite surprised with ourselves recently. From loathing the clear-colored kits and finding them pointless to actually liking what we see here. It’s definitely a huge change here, but we do wonder if it is because they’re getting better at making them?

Whatever it is the reason, we do like that change, and hopefully, there are more clear colored kits out there that we will be excited for in the future.

Anyways, we will be back again this coming Saturday (hopefully) with a new blog post. So, please do look forward to that!
