A lovely but colorless see through Ball
HELLO! We are back!
In today’s 326th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will be taking a look at another The Gundam Base Limited’s newest Gunpla release announcement. This time they went quite a bit far back to finally release a ‘mechanical’ clear version of their existing MG Version Ka kit.
So, without further ado, let us get into it, shall we?

The Ball of our dreams
The Ball Ver.Ka. Honestly, this is one kit that we all didn’t expect to see The Gundam Base Limited wanting to make a clear-color version of here. Funnily at the same time, we also think that it is about time that the MG Ball Ver.Ka gets that treatment as well. Because of all the kits that we have seen that get the MG Ball Ver.Ka deserves to get that ‘clear-color’ treatment.
However, when we saw the actual thing, we admit that we are disappointed by what we see. Because frankly, we were expecting the clear bits to have a bit of color in them, like what we see with the MG Lunamaria’s Gunner Zaku Warrior clear-color version.
We know that this is a ‘mechanical clear’ kit, so it makes sense that the clear bits are devoid of color, so the focus for this version is that we could better appreciate the MG Ball Ver.Ka’s insides here. But then again, we thought, isn’t that is the point of all MG clear-colored kit’s existence in the first place? To show off the awesome insides of the badass MG kit? Isn’t all clear colored kits for MG’s are basically ‘mechanical clear’ kit?
So, yeah, it’s pretty disappointing to see a clear color kit that is devoid of color on its parts here.
Dissapointing but still sexy
Regardless, we would admit that despite our reservations, the whole thing does still look quite good. Because finally, we get a kit that we could display next to our existing MG Ball Ver.Ka that we could fully showcase its beautiful insides.
It’ll definitely make for a badass addition to our ever-growing MG Ball collection.
Funnily enough, even though we are frustrated with the lack of colors on this thing, but we’re still excited with the thought of getting this. Very contradicting feelings that we have on this kit indeed.
Can’t wait to have this posed with our own MG Ball Ver.Ka collection
With that concludes our 326th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment for today. Not the best release announcement news that is coming from The Gundam Base Limited that we’ve seen to date. But it is one that we admit that we’re still looking forward to getting when it hits our shores somewhere this year.
Interestingly enough, this might be one of those rare release announcements that we’ve seen this year that we do struggle with here. Hopefully, this would be the only one that we’ll have these feelings on.
Anyways, we will be back again this coming Thursday (hopefully) with a new blog post. So, please do look forward to that!
