From talking about purple crab, now we’re talking about a purple psycho.

HELLO! We are back! 

In today’s 335th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will be looking at The Gundam Base Limited latest Gunpla release details. Yes, instead of looking at an upcoming kit, we will be looking at one of The Gundam Base Limited’s kits that is out in the wild already. 

So, without further ado, let us get into it, shall we?  

HG 1/144 AMS-123X Varguil [Clear Color] (HGUC)

Usually, we do not talk about kits that are already released here in this segment. 

But for this one, we decided to make an exception. 

Why?

Well, that is because we’re a fan of the Retail HGUC Moon Gundam and the P-Bandai’s HGUC Varguil. So, we figured that it would be a shame if we didn’t talk about this. 

But even with that said. We got to be honest here and say that this is not a good-looking clear-colored kit. Look-wise we do think that it does look (look-wise) quite good. But there is something about this clear purple color scheme that The Gundam Base Limited chaps used on the Gundam Base Limited’s Varguil that seems to not sit well with all of us here. Somehow it makes the whole thing looked weird.

Not to mention, we feel that some of the Gundam Base Limited Varguil’s decals look a bit off when they paired them with the clear bits of this kit. We understand that the decals are part of what makes the Varguil’s look iconic, but at the very least, The Gundam Base Limited’s chaps could spend the time to redesign the decals so they would fit in with the clear-color parts.

But despite our reservations, we are still quite interested in getting this. 

Why? 

Well, that is because, as we said earlier, we are fans of this MS design, and despite what we said about the clear-color bit, we still think that The Gundam Base Limited’s Varguil is still a good-looking HGUC kit.

With that concludes our 335th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment for today. A not-so-exciting Gunpla release announcement from The Gundam Base Limited, but it is one that we’re quite looking forward to when it hits our shores in the coming weeks. 

Hopefully, it’ll be easier to secure this compared to the HGAC Aesculapius Gundam.
