Let’s Talk Gunpla Vol.355

Oh, will you look at that! They actually fixed it!

HELLO! We are back!

In today’s 355th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will be looking at one of The Gundam Base Limited newest Gunpla release announcements. Yes, we will finally be talking about that one kit that we are all here are most excited about here.

So, let us now get into it, shall we?

Yes, four months after the successful launch of the RG Hi-v Gundam, it’s nice to see The Gundam Base Limited chaps finally decide to announce the titanium finish of the RG Hi-v Gundam.

Seeing that we just did an unboxing for this kit recently, admittedly, this release looks pretty impressive.

Honestly, after seeing this right after we did the unboxing, we noticed that they finally managed to fix one of the issues that we all here are bothered by from our unboxing of the standard version. What problem is that you may ask? Well, that would be the shitty-looking “gold” parts from the standard version.

Yes, for the titanium finish version of the RG Hi-v Gundam, the gold bits actually looked like what we are expecting to see from gold-colored bits. Why? Well, for The Gundam Base Limited’s version, the gold bits actually looked legit like gold, unlike the standard retail variant where the gold bits looked like the thing is colored by a toddler using a gold marker pen.

But the thing that we all here find to be even more surprising is that for a titanium finish kit, it looked surprisingly elegant here. That is because we find that the whole thing looked not too overly shiny or tacky, and honestly, the whole thing does look quite pleasing to the eye.

Although even with that said, it was hard to find the point of this kit at first when we first laid our eyes on it because, besides the nice shiny gold bits, you find it hard to justify paying so much for this. However, after we did some thinking and discussion, we honestly feel that is this kit’s strength lies in its subtle nature.

Because we know how hard it is to make titanium finished kits not look overly tacky, and seeing The Gundam Base Limited chaps nail this does make us look forward to seeing their upcoming titanium finished kits.

Because if they really nail it with this one, we are sure that the others would look as good or better than this one.

And, of course, yes, we are getting this as soon as we have it listed here.

With that concludes our 355th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment for today. What an announcement this! Usually, we don’t get all too excited for a Gundam Base Limited’s release, but this really got all of us looking forward to this kit’s release!

It is always lovely to see The Gundam Base Limited chaps releasing good-looking kits like this.

Anyways, we will be back again this coming Thursday (hopefully) with a new blog post. So, please do look forward to that!
