HELLO! We are back! 

In today’s 364th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will be looking at P-Bandai’s newest Gunpla release announcement. Interestingly, P-Bandai just announced a new HGAW kit.

And no, P-Bandai isn’t announcing the HGAW Shenlong, don’t worry. We are pretty sure if they do, most Shenlong’s fans will be making Bandai’s life hard.

 So, without further ado. Let us get into it, shall we? 

HG 1/144 XXXG-01H2 Gundam Heavyarms Kai (Gundam Heavyarms Custom) (HGAW)

Release Date: June 2022

If the Retail side had a splendid week with the announcement of the new MGEX Strike Freedom, the P-Bandai side, however, had a pretty lowkey Gunpla release announcement this week. 

I know to some Gundam Heavyarms fans, this may come as exciting news for you, but honestly, we were kind of hoping that they would announce the Endless Waltz movie version instead of this. 

Why?

Well, that’s because this is just the same HGAW Heavyarms kits. Heck, it even comes with the same color scheme. The only difference is that it comes with a dual-beam Gatling gun and a new backpack unit. 

I do get this is a canonically anime-accurate version of the Heavyarms kai, but it is the most boring version of the HGAW Heavyarms. 

That is why we don’t really mind this getting the P-Bandai treatment because we know P-Bandai made this for fans of the series and the Heavyarms and not for us.

Even with that said, it doesn’t mean we do not think this is a dope release we do. It’s just that we prefer to spend our money on the Endless Waltz movie version of the Heavyarms Custom.  

But at the very least, it does give us a glimpse of what to expect soon from P-Bandai. Because honestly, this is a clear indication that we might see the Endless Waltz movie version coming soon. 

And that is the one we all here are most looking forward to getting. 

With that concludes our 364th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment for today. A pretty lowkey P-Bandai announcement this week. But usually, this is expected since they did start the year with a bang. We can’t expect them to keep churning out bangers. Plus, we don’t think our wallets would survive if they do, honestly.
