HELLO! We are back! 

In today’s 369th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will be looking at one of the retail side’s newest release announcements that we all saw from the Latest Hobby Next 2022 event. 

Finally, after a long time and many memes later, Bandai decided to complete the five Gundam for the HGAC lineup. 

So, without further ado. Let us get into it, shall we?

HG 1/144 XXXG-01S Shenlong Gundam (HGAC)

Release Date: September 2022

Now we can finally say goodbye to all of the where is the HGAC Shenlong Wufei memes. 

Even though the memes are funny, it is starting to get a bit old. 

So, then, after all of that said and done, what do we all here think of the new HGAC Shenlong’s release announcement? 

Well, if we were, to be honest? It does look quite good, no, impressive actually. 

Why?

Well, that’s because they managed to bring to life the badass anime TV version of Shenlong’s Dragon Fang weapon system in HGAC form. Yes, Bandai made the long-neck dragon arm thing for the HGAC version of the Shenlong. 

But they didn’t just go as far to make it look anime TV accurate. They also managed to make it to be one of the most well-articulated ones as well. 

What’s more, they even made the HGAC Shenlong look quite handsome too. It looked so good that it made us, nonfans of the Shenlong Gundam, interested in getting one.

Although, the same isn’t true for the pilot, unfortunately.  

Hopefully, the HGAC Shenlong’s Dragon Fang system works better here than the one that worked on the No grade 1/144’s version because that one is quite a pain to work on if we remember correctly. 

And that concludes our 369th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment for today. Although it is nice to see the new Gunpla release announcement on the Hobby Next 2022 event, at the same time, we notice that there isn’t a lot of new Gunpla release announcements made this time around.

Yes, there are new Plamos for other series, but not a lot coming from the Gunpla side. That honestly worries us. 

Is it a sign that the retail side is slowly moving away from releasing new Gunplas? Will we’ll see future Gunpla releases only coming from the P-Bandai side? 

Regardless of what the future might hold for us all, we hope that we do not see P-Bandai taking the reigns from the Retail side on future Gunpla releases. Because really that would suck ass.
