The other side of the Eclipse
HELLO! We are back!
In today’s 378th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will be looking at The Gundam Base Limited’s newest Gunpla release announcement. But the kit that we’ll be writing about today isn’t something that the Gundam Base Limited chaps just announced.
We’ll be writing about the kit that they announced late last month.
So, without further ado. Let us get into it, shall we?
MG 1/100 Gundam Base Limited MVF-X08 Eclipse Gundam [Clear Color] (MG)

Release Date: 29th April 2022
Estimated price: JPY 5,500 (MYR RM 183.89* / USD $ 42.94* / EUR € 39.59*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

Like we said at the start of this segment, this isn’t the only thing that The Gundam Base Limited chaps announced, and it’s not even a new Gundam Base Limited’s Gunpla release announcement (since they announced this back in late March, actually). But it is one that we finally had the time to talk to since the new kits that they’re planning on releasing aren’t that interesting to us here.
Funnily when we heard that Gundam Base limited had new stuff to release, we almost thought of just covering those before we all saw what it is. But we’re glad that Gundam Base Limited’s latest releases are not that interesting this time since it won’t overshadow the release of the badass MG Eclipse variant next week.
Although, we admit seeing this news excited us all here.

Well, especially when you consider that the upcoming release looked this good, anyone would find it hard not to be excited about it. Since we have unboxed the retail version of the MG Eclipse and have seen the beautifully intricate inner frame system on some of its parts, we feel that the clear-colored bits would do well to show how good-looking the MG Eclipse is on the inside too!
So we can imagine those that have spent time working on coloring the MG Eclipse’s insides will be excited for this release too! Now, you can finally use the clear parts from this Gundam Base Limited kit to showcase your hard work.
But even those that don’t spend their time painting the insides of their kit but are a HUGE fan of the MG Eclipse will be happy to know that the clear-colored version still looked badass even if you have no plan to paint the insides. That itself is just a testament to how awesomely designed this kit is.

Whatever it is, we are really looking forward to getting this kit, eventually. We hope that we can find it retailing at a reasonable price.
And that concludes our 378th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment for today. Looking at this and seeing how the world is slowly reopening, we are delighted to know that we might be able to get our ass to Tokyo and MAYBE possibly be able to get this.
But we have a feeling that we might not have to wait too long to get this MG kit since it seems that Bandai is starting the registration for the upcoming GWBC event here in Malaysia.
Knowing the local GWBC event, they usually will bring in all these Gundam Base Limited clear-colored kits to the event to be sold here. So maybe we should wait till then to get one for ourselves.
At least it would be a lot cheaper to do that than buying an air ticket to get our ass in Tokyo and buying it there.
Anyways, we’ll be back again this coming Saturday (hopefully) with a new blog post. So, please do look forward to that!
Oh, one more thing before we go, it would be a tremendous help to us all here in the blog if you guys were to leave a like on our posts and subscribe to the blog if you find yourselves enjoying our gunpla/plamo related posts.
