HELLO! We are back! 

In today’s 384th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will finally cover the last few P-Bandai upcoming releases from the Shizuka Hobby Show 2022. Yes, there are still a few things that we want to talk about, and honestly? These few P-Bandai upcoming releases are ones that we find to be quite interesting. 

So, without further ado. Let us get into it, shall we? 

RG 1/144 God Gundam Expansion set (RG)

Release Date: TBC

Estimated price: JPY 2,750 (MYR RM 94.39* / USD $ 21.51* / EUR € 20.36*)

Yes, we will start this segment by talking about the controversial announcement from the Shizuka Hobby Show 2022 event. The one P-Bandai release announcement that unfortunately managed to get people confused and some angry. 

After we spent time looking at the stills from the Shizuka Hobby Show 2022, we get why most are confused with this reveal since they did showcase the expansion set together with the RG God Gundam. So we can understand why some of you guys might be worried that P-Bandai might lock away the badass RG God Gundam beam backpack rings. 

But after taking a much closer look, we can say that is not the case here. Bandai is still going to include the Rings with the retail release. 

So what do you actually get in the upcoming P-Bandai God Gundam Expansion set? 

Well, in this upcoming P-Bandai exclusive God Gundam expansion set, you will be getting the pretty impressive beam ball thing, and you get the HGFC Fuunsaiki. Yes, we think that P-Bandai will include the badass horse mecha with this set. 

Even though we can’t confirm this right now, it’s hard not to make that speculation when we take a closer look at the expansion set’s asking price. For something retailing at 2,750 yen, we are sure P-Bandai isn’t only giving us the beam ball effect parts. Plus, it’s not really hard to include in the HGFC Fuunsaiki since they’re both on a 1/144 scale. Not to mention, they both looked quite at home with each other. 

Whatever the case may be, we will wait and see the official word for this before we can start planning to allocate our P-Bandai RG funds. 

HG 1/144 Red Giant 03rd MS Team Set (HGUC)

Release Date: TBC

Estimated price: TBC

We thought that after the release of the MG Eclipse and how well that kit did in the Gunpla market, we assumed that we might see more Manga MS designs getting that Retail treatment. 

So, you can imagine how surprised we are to find that Bandai decided to give these three badass-looking Ground Gundam/GM variants from a new Gundam UC side story manga getting that P-Bandai treatment. 

But at the same time, we are not surprised to see P-Bandai back at their usual antics. 

But even with that said, we admit that, at the very least, from what we can see here, it is clear that P-Bandai did a pretty impressive job here because we can see that all three kits have some really badass color, looks, and the weapon designs. 

We aren’t all too sure yet if the things that we see here are all we get with this set. So we shall wait till the official word for this set is out before we say more. 

But the one thing we can say right now is we are REALLY interested in getting this set. 

And that concludes our 384th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment for today. It’s nice to finally talk about all the awesome upcoming kits coming from P-Bandai and the retail side, especially when there isn’t much to look forward to this year. Unlike all the other previous years. 

But then again, there is a lot of bad stuff happening in the world currently, so we can understand why things are going off on a pretty slow start this year. So, it’s not really that bad, at least we are still getting new kits.
