No new gunpla news, but there is a lot of interesting Gunpla-related news 

HELLO! We are back! 

In today’s 389th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we decided to do something a tad bit different because, for today’s segment, we will talk about recent Gunpla-related news that we saw that excites us!

So, without further ado. Let us get into it, shall we? 

Hobby Next Phase 2022 Summer event!

I believe it wasn’t that long ago that we saw new Gunpla and Plamo releases revealed and announced during the Shizuka Hobby Show 2022. So we all find the announcement for the upcoming Hobby Next Phase 2022 Summer event to be, well, quite surprising. 

Why? 

Honestly? It’s because we all thought they only do this event twice a year? One done at the start and the other at the end? But then again, seeing how the year is going am not that surprised that we have more of this kind of event.

But at the same time, that explains why we do not see a lot of Gunpla announced or revealed during the last Hobby Next Phase event, and this might be the event that shows us what awesome kits we should be looking forward to towards the final quarter of the year? 

Or will they show us more or less the same kits? 

Regardless, one thing is clear to all of us. We’ll see more details on upcoming Gunpla or new MS designs from the Witch from Mercury series. 

Oh, as well more details on The Witch of Mercury prolog anime. We aren’t sure what to expect, but we wouldn’t be surprised if P-Bandai is behind the upcoming Witch of Mercury prolog Gunpla announcements. 

Whatever it is, we shall wait to see what is in store for us when the event commences from the 21st to the 22nd of June. 

RX93ff goes P-Bandai?

In an unexpected turn of events, the kit we never expected to get the P-Bandai treatment gets the P-Bandai treatment.

Although, to be honest, it shouldn’t surprise us all that much, since the reception for this kit has been quite positive. So it’s natural for us to see P-Bandai wanting that slice of the cake too. 

However, we here do not understand why P-Bandai decided to let us know at the very last minute that they are opening the preorder window for all the RX-93ff’s variants. It is clear that they’re trying to deny some of the scalper bots from spamming their shopee website.

And that might have worked before, but it looks like it isn’t enough to stop them from continuing to spam and denying most of us the chance to get any of the P-Bandai kits and this badass kit. 

Yes, we admit that we are mad that most of us here were unaware of P-Bandai’s intentions which made us all miss the short preorder window for the RG RX-93ff. 

But we are sure that we’re not the only ones here.

But yet, funnily enough, we still have hope. 

Because we still have hope that we will be able to get it at the upcoming GWBC Malaysia event, oh, speaking of the GWBC Malaysia event.

GWBC Malaysia registration is open!

Yes, GWBC Malaysia 2022 registration has finally opened! 

That means we will finally see all the insane entries from the Malaysian Gunpla builders in person, and we’re really looking forward to seeing all the insane entries this year! 

But most of all, we are looking forward to getting all the Gundam Base Limited kits that we have been eyeing for some time. 

Hopefully, at this event, we’ll be able to secure the RG RX93ff for ourselves here. 

Regardless of our intentions, this is definitely one event that all of us here are looking forward to attending, and hopefully, it’ll be an unforgettable event! 

And no, none of us here will be joining this year’s event since we still have a load of kits in the backlog that needs our unwavering attention. So, we do not have time to plan for our GWBC’s entry this year. Hopefully, by next year we might be able to join!

And that concludes our 389th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment for today. Again we are seeing another week of no new Gunpla news from all sides. But then again, we figured it’s because they might be preparing to reveal new upcoming kits at Hobby Next 2022 Summer event. 

We hope that Bandai reveals in this event a new exciting MG kit (that is not an MGEX kit) instead of another half-hearted refurbished MG Ver.1.5 kit.

Anyways, we’ll be back again this coming Saturday (hopefully) with a new blog post. So, please do look forward to that!
