Let’s Talk Gunpla Vol.405

Soon we’ll have our very own Nehel Argama in our Homebase!

HELLO! We are back!

In today’s 405th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will write about the one P-Bandai Gunpla-related item release announcement that we all here find to really be fascinating.

So, without further ado. Let us get into it, shall we?

Realistic Model Series Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ (For 1/144 HGUC Series) Nehel Argama Catapult Deck

Release Date: March 2023
Estimated price: JPY 32,780 (MYR RM 1,071.52* / USD $ 239.37* / EUR € 238.07*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

Honestly? It looks like to us all here that Megahouse is going all out with their Realistic Model Series. Admittedly, we are impressed by their commitment here, and by the looks of it, we might not be surprised that Megahouse will release enough parts in the future to complete the Archangel on a 1/144 scale eventually.

But we are not here to talk about the Archangel. We’re here to talk about the Megahouse’s recent work, the Realistic Model Series Nehel Argama Catapult Deck. The one that we feel might be their most ambitious project yet! Not to mention one that will be massive to be displayed and the most expensive Gunpla Catapult Displays that one could buy.

Why massive, you ask? Well, even though in terms of size, one of these Realistic Model Series Nehel Argama Catapult Deck is almost the same size as the previously released Realistic Model Series Argama. However, unlike Argama’s Catapult Deck, you need three of them to recreate the Nehel Argama Catapult deck.

And unlike the Argama Catapult Deck, we do not think you can display all three of the Nehel Argama Catapult Deck on the wall due to its insane size and weight.

Not to mention, we love how insanely detailed Megahouse made the Nehel Argama Catapult Deck look here. Plus, we like that they included many parts to make it easy for you to convert it to any version or side of the Catapult you want, and it’s nice to finally see a catapult deck with actual AA Guns on them too! You also get a pretty sweet decal set that you can use here to make the Catapult deck look more detailed!

But best of all, they even included parts to help connect all three of the Catapult decks, if you manage to get all three of them, that is. So it would be easy for you to recreate the ultimate version of your own Nehel Argama’s Catapult Deck display!

Now finally brings us to the part we talk about the cost of one of these things because even for one of these, one will find out that the Realistic Model Series Nehel Argama Catapult Deck isn’t cheap.

For JPY 32,780 (MYR 1,071.52/USD 238.07/EUR 238.07) a pop, we can imagine only not all of us would be able to own all three catapult decks. So it is clear to us that only the ‘one percent’ of Gunpla collectors would be able to have both the money and the space needed to have all three in their collection.

Or one that is insane enough to save up to get all three of them in their humble abode.

But one thing is for sure, this is one impressive display to have, and it’ll make any collector envious of your insane collection.

So don’t be surprised if most of us end up falling into the latter category here because after spending time looking at this release, even we all here are planning to get one of this catapult Deck (or all three of them if we are lucky or insane enough) already.

Although, it might be hard to justify to the missus/housemate/family/parents why we need this take all the living space in the house to display this.

And that concludes our 405th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment for today. Again, what impressive work we see coming from the insane chaps at Megahouse! Even though we feel bad that we don’t talk about the other Realistic Model Series releases more, that doesn’t mean we are not as excited about getting any of them!

But admittedly, saving up for any of them would take away the funds we need to get all the other awesome and badass Gunpla releases coming our way.

Plus, when we consider the lack of space, this isn’t something we can foresee ourselves being able to fix right now.

Anyways, we’ll be back again this next week (hopefully) with a new blog post. So, please do look forward to that!

Oh, one more thing before we go, it would be a tremendous help to us all here in the blog if you guys were to leave a like on our posts and subscribe to the blog if you find yourselves enjoying our gunpla/plamo-related posts. We would appreciate it if you guys would take the time to show your support by leaving an upvote on our R/Gunpla posts and by leaving a like on our Facebook and Instagram posts or pages!

We are also open to any good and bad feedback, so feel free to write away.

Hopefully, by sharing our love and passion for building and writing about gunplas or other plamos here, we sincerely hope this post will inspire you guys to pick up on the hobby. Or better yet, reignite your love and passion for the hobby.

We shall see all of you again soon, and we hope all of you here have a splendid day and week ahead! Oh, before we go, please have an excellent time building your awesome gunplas there and until next time.

Ciao!

  1. I’m happy that we’re getting more Catapult Deck releases! In terms of looks this is a bit overwhelming but I’ll reserve judgement until it’s in my hands. The Ptolemy Container is still my favorite of the four released this far. This release makes me hopeful for some future announcements of 1/144th scale ZZ Gundam kits, possibly an RG ZZ Gundam next year. The gimmick of being able to connect multiple sets together is neat bud I’d settle for LED or motorized functions.
