We didn’t know an SDW Heroes kit could look this attractive!

HELLO! We are back! 

In today’s 407th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will be taking a look at The Gundam Base Limited’s latest Gunpla release announcement! Well, when we say the latest, what we really mean here is that we’ll be covering one Gunpla release that just got released.

So, without further ado. Let us get into it, shall we?

SDW HEROES Cleopatra Qubeley (SDWHEROES)

Release Date: 27th August 2022

Estimated price: JPY 770 (MYR RM 25.00* / USD $ 5.60* / EUR € 5.59*)

We’re aware that we don’t feature the SDW Heroes kits in this blog all that much, so admittedly we try our best to feature any new SDW Heroes kits as much as we can here. But the truth is, we do find most SDW Heroes to be not as fascinating. Plus, for most of the new SDW Heroes kits we see, we feel like they all look the same-ish.

That is why we don’t cover their new releases all that much here.

However, the one we are covering today is one of those SDW Heroes kits that we all agree looked fantastic. 

Even though The Gundam Base Limited chaps based this SDW Heroes kit on the existing SDW Heroes Cleopatra Qubeley Dark Mask version, the only changes made here are to let the SDW Heroes Cleopatra be recolored in a different color tone and give the SDW Heroes Cleopatra Qubeley a new head unit. But one can’t deny that The Gundam Base Limited version looked absolutely beautiful when compared to its retail version.  

We as well noticed that The Gundam Base Limited chaps even managed to design this version to look quite attractive and, at the same time, stylish. That baffles us. 

How is this possible, you ask? Well, that is because of how well they used the gold, white and red color scheme on this version of the SDW Heroes Cleopatra Qubeley. We might not be familiar with the Eygptian Historical figure that The Gundam Base Limited base this on here. But looking at the overall design and the color scheme they go for here, we believe that The Gundam Base Limited chaps got it right here. 

Admittedly, after spending all our time looking at this SDW Heroes kit, we believe they managed to get the look and feel of the historical figure they based this SD Qubeley on quite right.

It looked so good that we don’t mind getting this, even knowing it will come with several color correction sticker parts. From how good it looked from the design standpoint alone, we wouldn’t mind putting aside time to spend painting up this one so we can have this beautiful piece of SDW Heroes badassery displayed at the Homebase. 

And that concludes our 407th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment for today. It has really been a while since we all here are excited for a new SDW Heroes release! Although we do find it quite weird that P-Bandai isn’t picking this one up. 

Usually, they would be excited to get this kit of the original version released under their label, So we find it strange that they let The Gundam Base Limited have this one. 

Regardless, we are glad that they didn’t. Because this means if we are lucky, we might have the chance to get this version during any of the GWBC events! Or whenever we get enough funds to get ourselves up to the land of the rising sun.
