Do we REALLY need an MGSD?
HELLO! We are back!
In today’s 415th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we’ll take the time to talk about Bandai’s unexpected Gunpla teaser announcement of a new SD lineup.
So, without further ado. Let us get into it, shall we?
The Rumor Mill: MGSD Teaser announcement
29th September 2022 is when we’ll hear about Bandai’s latest MGSD lineup. Honestly, this is one piece of news we here don’t really find to be all that exciting. We prefer that Bandai give us a new SDCS kit, but we suppose that’s too much to ask for here.
You might be wondering why we started this segment by saying this to be an unexpected teaser announcement despite already knowing about it many months back.
Well, that is because we thought that the lack of follow-up news about this new thing they’re planning is a sign that they are reconsidering scrapping the MGSD idea and reviving the SDCS lineup instead.
So yes, we are surprised they are still going ahead with this MGSD idea.
However, if we are honest? We know nothing about the upcoming MGSD kit, but we wouldn’t be surprised if the MGSD would be just another reason for them to milk either the Gundam or the Unicorn. Since they already did that with the SDCS lineup, we are not surprised that they purposely started this line. So, they could have a good reason to continue milking the Gundam and the Unicorn.
All we want to know here is whether the upcoming MGSD would be as detailed or even better than the 3rd party MGSD kit,
