Talking about all the Upcoming TWFM kit releases, part 2
HELLO! We are back!
In today’s 419th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will continue where we left off with the last post, talking about all the sweet The Witch From Mercury Gunpla releases. Oh yes, we have a lot to cover still this week.
So, without further ado. Let us get into it, shall we?
HG 1/144 Michaelis (HGTWFM)

Release Date: March 2023
Estimated price: JPY 1,760 (MYR RM 56.16* / USD $ 12.11* / EUR € 12.43*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

We want to start this segment by talking about the HGTWFM Michaelis, which we admit we find to be quite a unique MS design from this series that we’ve seen yet.
The part that we find quite fascinating about this MS design is that the MS designers for this series made it look like something born from a super robot series. Yes, it might not have the ability to transform or have large overpowered weapons attached to its arm unit or have the ability to combine itself with different robot animals. But somehow, the designers made the Michaelis look like one.
Even with that said, it’s not a bad thing, especially when the Michaelis overall design looks quite good.

The designers made the Michaelis looks sleek, clean, and at the same time, badass. It’s an MS design that we here can see from looks alone that we know the MS Designers of the Michaels made it with Ace Pilots in mind because it doesn’t look like the designers made the Michaelis to be a grunt MS at all.
From what we see of the Beguir-Beu from the prolog, we can foresee that this MS will also be a close rival to the Gundam Aerial.
But enough of us fanboying over the design of the Michaelis. Let’s now talk more about what we think of its Gunpla form.
Just like its design, we all find the Michaelis in Gunpla form is as unique as its final anime design version because we never see any Gunpla with this kind of design before. Maybe some of the design elements the HGTWFM Michaelis may share with some Gunplas that we’ve seen, but it’s hard to tell from which kit they based the design on here.

But from what we can tell from looking at the HGTWFM Michaelis is that even though they didn’t share any design elements from Gunplas, they might share some of the design elements from the 30MM kits. Well, from what we can see from its limbs, that is.
We might not have yet gotten any 30MM kits, but we have seen enough to tell that Bandai takes a lot of the design inspiration from that series and apply it to the Michaelis.

All in all, we are excited about this one! Hopefully, we’d be able to get it on release day.
Or we might see P-Bandai list it on their Shopee site.
HG 1/144 Beguir-Pente (HGTWFM)

Release Date: March 2023
Estimated price: JPY 1,760 (MYR RM 56.16* / USD $ 12.11* / EUR € 12.43*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

After the release of the Beguir-Beu, we were hoping to see another variant of the Beguir MS series. And Bandai didn’t disappoint with this round of new HGTWFM new releases announcements because now we’ve learned that we are going to have another Beguir MS variant in Gunpla form.
And it looks badass.
However, from what we can see here, the HGTWFM Beguir-Pente’s design is derived from the HGTWFM Beguir-Beu. But somehow, we still find it looking badass still.

Yes, even though it retains many of the same design elements from its original version, Bandai did make some changes to this version. And the changes made here, like the color scheme, new backpack pods, and weapons, are enough to make this a worthwhile purchase for fans of the HGTWFM Beguir series.

We were more surprised to see this getting the retail treatment instead of a P-Bandai one when we saw this. Because usually, P-Bandai would love to have something like this on their hands.
But even with that said, we are glad that P-Bandai didn’t have their mitts on this because this is one badass-looking HGTWFM Beguir variant, and it would be a damn shame if Bandai locked this one up under P-Bandai!
HG 1/144 Heindree (HGTWFM)

Release Date: March 2023
Estimated price: JPY 1,760 (MYR RM 56.16* / USD $ 12.11* / EUR € 12.43*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

We don’t know why but when we all look at the HGTWFM Heindree, it does give a strong Gyan and the IBO Helmwige Reincar vibes.
But yet, the designers still managed to make it look different. Yes, it may share inspirations from other MS designs, but it takes a lot of skill still make it look like an original design.
But the most impressive part of this MS design is that we’ll be able to own this badass MS design in Gunpla form. Yes, come March of 2023, we all will be able to build and own this badass piece of plastic for ourselves.

So, besides its badass design, why are we so excited about this release?
For one, like the HGTWFM Michaelis, the HGTWFM Heindree looks very different from what we are accustomed to here. We don’t just mean from its MS design and looks. We meant it as a Gunpla release. Honestly, it is very different from what we’ve seen, especially the design of its feet unit. Because honestly, its feet unit looks like something we usually see in the Macross series or the Mechwarrior series.
Looking at that weird feet does make us wonder if it would be stable enough to be posed without a stand, and will there be more MS with strange feet designs like this?
But the thing is, despite its weird design, we are impressed by the designer’s skill in still making the HGTWFM Heindree look pretty badass.

Not to mention we also love how they designed the weapons too. It reminds us of the weapon designs from the F91 series.
Ultimately, we are very impressed by what we see here, and we hope we’ll get to own it and build it for ourselves soon!
HG 1/144 Zowort (HGTWFM)

Release Date: March 2023
Estimated price: JPY 1,760 (MYR RM 56.16* / USD $ 12.11* / EUR € 12.43*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

The last HGTWFM kit we’ll talk about in this segment is the one we find the most fascinating. Why? Well, that is because most of the MS designs from The Witch From Mercury series we’ve seen had some MS designs inspired by the IBO series.
However, the HGTWFM Zowort is the one MS design from this series that looked like a direct successor to the IBO Hyakuri.
How can we tell? Well, from looking at HGTWFM Zowort’s chest and arm units. Because just like the IBO Hyakuri’s design, the design of the HGTWFM Zowort’s chest unit is quite large, and the HGTWFM Zowort also comes with thin arm units.

Even the backpack looked like the designer designed it for speed, just like the one we see on the IBO Hyakuri. The only thing the HGTWFM Zowort doesn’t share with the IBO Hyakuri is the arm-folding in the backpack/body gimmick. Which we think is great since we all feel that one particular bit of the IBO Hyakuri made it look ridiculous.
Honestly, even without that design connection, we all can agree that the HGTWFM Zowort does look pretty badass. From its Jegan-inspired head and color scheme. To its weapons and the IBO Hyakuri-inspired overall design, the HGTWFM Zowort is one of the HGTWFM we look forward to getting.

Actually, after we looked at all the HGTWFM kits we talked about here, we look forward to all the upcoming kits from this series.
March 2023 is going to be that month where it bleeds us dry.
And that concludes our 419th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment for today. Would you believe us if we said that we only just got halfway through all the upcoming releases? Yes, there is still more to talk about, but thankfully we are almost getting to the end of the retail section.
Yes, there are still a bunch of new releases we will get to here. Hopefully, we can wrap them up by next week, haha.
