All the releases that we’re looking forward to seeing next year!

HELLO! We are back! 

In today’s 426th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla post, we will talk about some of Bandai’s (and P-Bandai’s) latest Gunplas that are in the planning phase and unconfirmed release announcements! Interestingly enough, most of the kits we are covering today are ones revealed by Bandai at the Gundam NEXT Future event.

So, without further ado. Let us get into it, shall we?

The Rumor Mill: HG 1/144 MS-06GD High Mobility Zaku II (Ground)[Southern Cross Corps](Cucuruz Doan Island HG)[P-Bandai]

Seeing the trend that P-Bandai has been doing for its Premium HG lineups, we’re not at all surprised to see them planning for another Premium HG set after the HG Red Giant 3rd MS team’s release. 

But instead of getting another HG Gundam/GM set, this time, we are getting the whole team of Southern Cross Corps custom High Mobility (Ground) Zaku II’s from the Cucuruz Doan movie in one set. 

From some of the pictures we’ve seen of the prototype, the Zakus does look fantastic. Even from its prototypes, we can already imagine this Gunpla set will be one fun set to build. 

We can’t wait to see more of this set in the coming months!

The Rumor Mill: HG 1/144 RGM-79 GM [Shoulder Cannon Type] (Cucuruz Doan Island HG)[Unknown]

Honestly, when we heard of this version of the Cucuruz HG GM going into Bandai’s planning stage, we were all excited. Why? Because once again, we are getting another Cucuruz Doan Island HG GM variant. 

But to be honest? Ever since we saw the Cucuruz Doan Island HG GM Sleggar Law custom, we are not surprised to see this version finally seeing the light of day. Since they already had a pretty good base to create this version of the Cucuruz Doan Island HG GM Variant. 

Like the Cucuruz Doan Island HG Southern Cross Corps High Mobility [Ground] Zaku II set, we hope to see Bandai release the full version soon. 

The Rumor Mill: HG 1/144 RX-77-02 Guncannon (Cucuruz Doan Island HG)[Retail]

Finally, we are getting the final form of the HG Origins Guncannon. Well, technically, it’s not released under the HG Origins lineup but under the Cucuruz Doan’s Island HG lineup. But then again, they are from the same universe, and from what we can see from the prototype pictures, it does look like the HG Guncannon will have the same aesthetics as all the other MS designs from the Origins series. So technically, it is from the same lineup. 

The only reason we believe we are getting this now is possibly due to the performance of the Cucuruz Doan anime. If it performs like the Reconguista in G anime, we might not see this version of the HG Guncannon. 

But the thing that we are really ecstatic about this upcoming Cucuruz Doan Island HG Guncannon is we are getting this kit as a retail release. 

Again nothing much is known about this release, but as with most HGOrigins kits, we do not doubt that we’ll be getting a fun and badass-looking HG kit. 

The Rumor Mill: HG 1/144 MS-06R-1A High Mobility Zaku II Char Aznable Custom (Moroccan Front Ver.) (HGOrigins)[Uncomfirmed]

We are not at all surprised to see Bandai announcing that they’d be releasing this version of Char’s Zaku II.

With the release of the Cucuruz Doan’s Island version of the Gundam, it would be just a matter of time before we’d see another variant of Char’s Zaku out in the wild. 

However, we are surprised that we’d see them give Char the High Mobility Zaku II variant, more specifically, the R-1 variant of the High Mobility Zaku II series. 

But in a way (lore-wise), it confirms that at some point in the OYW, we know what happened to his infamous red Zaku II, and we also learned that Char did get the High Mobility Zaku II to upgrade at some point.

But enough of its lore, so what do we think of this after seeing its prototype pictures? From what we’ve seen of the prototype, we believe it’s just a recolored HGOrigins Black Tri-Star R-1 Zaku II. But that also means we’re getting another badass-looking HG Char Zaku II variant. 

And we can’t wait to get another one.

And that concludes our 426th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment for today. Looking at these unconfirmed releases does make me excited for next year’s Gunpla releases and announcements. Hopefully, next year we’ll see more badass kits.
