HELLO! We are back! 

In today’s 430th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we’ll talk about one of P-Bandai’s latest Gunpla release announcements! Interestingly, this time we are getting a new RG from the Gundam SEED Destiny MSV series! 

Yes, we know that P-Bandai announced two kits this week. But for today’s segment, we wanted to focus on the upcoming P-Bandai Exclusive RG SEED Destiny MSV kit. 

So, without further ado. Let us get into it, shall we? 

RG 1/144 ZGMF-X56S/θ Destiny Impulse Gundam (RG)

Release Date: April 2023

Estimated price: JPY 4,730 (MYR RM 154.50* / USD $ 33.77* / EUR € 32.58*)

Ever since we heard about this version of the Impulse Gundam, we always wanted to own the Gunpla version if Bandai or the P-Bandai side would announce it. Yes, admittedly, we know there is an MG version released sometime back, but that is only the Regenes version. Not the SEED Destiny MSV version that we see here. 

Even though the Regenes version is quite good-looking, we have always preferred the SEED Destiny MSV version since it does have more badass-looking weapons. 

But enough of us talking about our preferences. Let us now talk about what we think of this upcoming RG kit. 

Well, from the looks of it, the base RG Impulse bit looks mostly the same, just with a new color scheme. But the part that intrigues us is the Destiny Shilouette backpack unit. Because from the looks of it, P-Bandai made some improvements to it.

We here think this is fantastic news because this improvement to the Destiny Shilouette backpack indicates two things to us.

One, we know that this would be a great addition to the RG Impulse, and we know that P-Bandai will fix all the fitting issues present with the current iteration of the existing RG Destiny Shiilouette backpack unit.

Secondly, this also indicates that we might get a new RG Destiny! But that depends on how robust is the improvement made to the RG Destiny Impulse’s backpack unit.

If the improvements made aren’t that significant, we don’t think that we might see a new version of the RG Destiny will come so soon, or if they decide to release a new RG Destiny, it would be the same kit with a new backpack unit. But if the improvements made are robust, heck, if they made a complete overhaul (which is impossible since there are some old bits that we see used here and there), then it might be possible we see the new version sometime next year.

But whatever it is, things look promising for fans of the RG Destiny. 

Honestly, we all feel that this is quite a good-looking RG kit, and it is one that we can imagine ourselves getting since we are HUGE fans of Destiny Gundam and Impulse Gundam. But we wonder if they plan to release the unit 2 and 3 versions. 

If P-Bandai were to do so, you can bet that we’d be there to preorder those two. That’s how much of a fan we are of this version of the RG Impulse Gundam.

And that concludes our 430th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment for today. Again, another badass Gunpla release announcement from the P-Bandai side. 

If we are honest, we didn’t expect to see this announcement made this year. We thought P-Bandai would only announce this version after the retail side released the improved version of the RG destiny Impulse.

And it looks like P-Bandai couldn’t wait anymore. 

We are all glad they did because now it looks like they might push the development of the RG (Ver.1.5 or a full Ver.2.0) on overdrive. Honestly, we’re not surprised if we see the announcement of the new version of the RG Destiny made before the April release of the RG Destiny Impulse or After the release of the RG Destiny Impulse.
