Let’s Talk Gunpla Vol.444

A beautiful clear MG Kyrios

HELLO! We are back!

In today’s 444th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will look at The Gundam Base’s latest Gunpla release announcement! Although, at this point, it’s not really a new announcement since it’s already out in the wild in Japan. Regardless it is something that we here do find to be interesting and worth covering.

So, without further ado. Let us get into it, shall we?

MG 1/100 The Gundam Base Limited GN-003 Gundam Kyrios [Clear Color] (MG)

Release Date: 13th January 2023 (Released)
Estimated price: JPY 5,830 (MYR RM 195.98* / USD $ 45.30* / EUR € 41.96*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

Obviously, we know that we eventually would get the MG Kyrios in clear color after seeing how all the other MG 00 kits get the Clear Color treatment.

But we are surprised it took this long after its retail release to see the Gundam Base Limited’s work on the MG Kyrios in clear color. But even with that said, admittedly, we don’t mind waiting for the clear-colored version, especially when it looks this good.

Yes, it is just the MG Kyrios in Clear Color configuration, with no new modifications or changes. But still, we’re surprised that we find ourselves drawn to this regardless.

Maybe unlike the Gundam Side-F we talked about recently, we can see that the Gundam Base side put more effort into creating this Clear Colored MG Kyrios. The reason why we said this is because despite it being in clear color, the Gundam Base chaps made it look tasteful. Even the colored parts looked good.

Honestly, we are impressed by how it looked overall.

But we understand that this isn’t something for everyone. So we reckon this version of the MG Kyrios is for fans of the 00 MS designs or those that enjoy working on the MG Kyrios a little bit too much but are still finding reasons to pick up another one.

For all of us here, we find that this is one of those kits we would get if we ever come across in our journeys to any Gundam Base shops anywhere in the world. But we wouldn’t want to spend more than its MSRP to get it.

Yes, we like how it looked, but we wouldn’t go out of our way to get it from scalpers.

And that concludes our 444th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment for today. Admittedly, this is not the biggest Gunpla news we’ve seen, but it is one that we still enjoy going through regardless.

Anyways. We’ll be back again next Thursday (hopefully) with a new blog post. Yes, we will be taking off this weekend since I will be taking some time off somewhere during the Chinese New Year Holidays.

So, since we will not be posting this coming weekend, we wanted to take the time to wish all of our Chinese readers earlier to have splendid Chinese New Year celebrations!

We will be back next Thursday with a new post, so do look forward to that!
