Let’s Talk Gunpla Vol.455

Submarine Black Bunnies

HELLO! We are back!

In today’s 455th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will be taking the time to talk about some recent P-Bandai Gunpla release announcements! Yes, we will talk about that awesome P-Bandai HG AOZ kit that we saw recently.

So, without further ado. Let us get into it, shall we?

When P-Bandai announced the three AOZ RE-BOOT kits, we knew we eventually get the Aqua Hambrabi II somewhere down the line. True enough, a few months after the release of the Psycho blade Wondwart, P-Bandai drops the announcement of the HG Aqua Hambrabi II.

You guys can’t imagine how happy we were when we heard this news.

And, of course, they announced the two versions together.

But first, let’s talk about the first version that P-Bandai showcased using the HGUC Psycho Blade Wondwart as the base.

Admittedly, we find them using the HGUC Psycho Blade Wondwort quite interesting.

Why do we find this interesting, you ask?

Well, it’s because they decided to recreate the most boring version.

Don’t get us wrong. We still think the Aqua Wondwart looks cool. But when you compare it to the badass Aqua Barzam, you wonder why they think it’s a good idea for them to use the HGUC Psycho Blade Wondwort as the base for the Aqua Hambrabi II since it doesn’t look as badass.

It just looked like you added more stuff on the HGUC Psycho Blade Wondwort.

But then again, maybe P-Bandai wanted to highlight the differences between the two, and what better way to do it than by showing how it would look when mounted on both the HG Psycho Blade Wondwort and the HG Barzam AOZ RE-Boot version.

Oh, while we are on the matter of the HG Barzam RE-Boot version.

HG 1/144 ARZ-124HBIIM Aqua Hambrabi II (Titans) [& conversion parts for ARZ-124WDM Aqua Wondwart & RMS-154M Aqua Barzam] (AOZ RE-BOOT Version)(HGUC)

Release Date: June 2023
Estimated price: JPY 3,080 (MYR RM 101.64* / USD $ 22.46* / EUR € 21.31*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

Beautiful.

That is the only word that came to mind when we saw this bad boy.

Honestly, it’s hard not to be impressed when you see how badass the HGUC Barzam AOZ RE-BOOT looks when you don the Aqua Barzam armor on the HGUC kit.

Seeing the HGUC Aqua Hambrabi II equipped on the HGUC Barzam AOZ RE-BOOT makes it look like a much more worthwhile upgrade for the P-Bandai HGUC Barzam AOZ RE-BOOT than for the HGUC Psycho Blade Wondwort.

Looking at how badass this version looked, we imagine that owners of both versions of the HGUC Barzam AOZ RE-BOOT would be thrilled with pre-ordering the HGUC Aqua Hambrabi II.

Even as a standalone kit, we all feel the HGUC Aqua Hambrabi is a badass display piece. Because, unlike the HGUC Hrududu, the HGUC Aqua Hambrabi II’s armor pieces had some level of articulation to them.

And that is already making us all even more excited to get this.

Admittedly, this would make for a good argument for those still struggling to find a reason to fill their room with more HGUC Barzam AOZ RE-BOOT because now you can have the Aqua version of it.

And it is one of the best-looking versions we’ve seen to date.

And that concludes our 455th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. We are impressed by this kit, especially seeing how good the Aqua Barzam looked here. Again we are glad to see P-Bandai still going strong to support the HGUC AOZ series. We hope we see more insane RE-ZEON MS designs translated into Gunpla form.

Anyways. We’ll be back again next Thursday (hopefully) with a new blog post. Do look forward to that!
