Let’s Talk Gunpla Vol.465

Those are some badass effect parts for the RG Hi-v Gundam

HELLO! We are back!

In today’s 465th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we’ll look at P-Bandai’s latest Gunpla release announcement. Although, to say that this is the latest Gunpla release announcement is a bit of an understatement. Because even though there is a new P-Bandai Gunpla release announcement made recently, we are not going to talk about that new release.

Instead, we’re talking about one release announcement made by P-Bandai a few weeks back.

So, without further ado. Let us get into it, shall we?

RG 1/144 Fin Funnel Effect for RG Hi-v Gundam (RG)

Release Date: July 2023
Estimated price: JPY 2,970 (MYR RM 101.95* / USD $ 22.97* / EUR € 20.90*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

After a long wait, finally, we get to talk about this P-Bandai release! Also, it’s nice to know that P-Bandai announced beam effect parts for the RG Hi-v Gundam.

But still, we admit that we do not believe that the RG Hi-v Gundam needed its own beam effect parts since Bandai has been releasing just the beam effect parts for general use that even the RG Hi-v Gundam could use. But even with that said and done, we are still interested in seeing what we are getting here.

From what we can see here, these RG Hi-v Gundam Beam Effect parts do look really promising for the RG Hi-v Gundam fans. Even we are finding ourselves interested in getting this.

Why? What makes us change our minds?

Well, one of the reasons is that we admit that RG Hi-v Gundam’s beam effect parts looked fantastic. Although, admittedly, we don’t get a lot of beam effect options here. Still, we are impressed by good they all looked when used on the Fin Funnels. And secondly, we are getting not just beam effect parts. We are getting an action base display stand as well. Also, we’re getting a lot of beam effect/Fin Funnel stand hinges in this set. So, we imagine buying this set would be a perfect fit for those considering displaying their awesome RG Hi-v Gundam.

But best of all (and one that we are not surprised about) is to know that the RG Hi-v Gundam beam effect works well on the RG v Gundam.

All in all, all of these look promising for those looking to display their RG Hi-v Gundam. Even we are starting to be quite interested in getting these.

Thankfully, since it is only an expansion set for the RG Hi-v Gundam, it is still available for preorder at P-Bandai’s shopee page, and we hope it stays that way until we preorder it, haha.

And that concludes our 465th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. We know that we are kind of late to the party on this one, but we still find it necessary to cover this release before, well, before we get to the other P-Bandai release announcement.

In which we will talk about in the upcoming blog post.
