Chainsaw man would be proud of you
HELLO! We are back!
In today’s 482nd edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will continue where we left off with the P-Bandai’s latest Gunpla release announcements. Interestingly, we are getting an update on an existing HGIBO kit.
So, without further ado. Let us get into it, shall we?
HG 1/144 ASW-G-35 Gundam Hajiroboshi 2nd Form (HGIBO)

Release Date: November 2023
Estimated price: JPY 2,860 (MYR RM 93.33* / USD $ 20.62* / EUR € 18.33*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

Even though the HGIBO Hajiroboshi 2nd Form looks badass, we admit that we aren’t all that excited to see this version.
Why?
It’s because we’ve seen some OOTB builds that some builders made of the standard version, and we found out that the HGIBO Hajiroboshi is a kit that uses a lot of stickers on bits we expect to be colored parts. We were disappointed to see how much it relies on sticker parts.

Admittedly, we shouldn’t expect so much from an HG kit, and yes, we can always paint it up, but the thing is, we have seen HG kits that have better color separation that doesn’t require a lot of color correction sticker parts.
But even with that said, we admit that the HGIBO Hajiroboshi 2nd Form does look good. We like that it ditches all the heavy armor of the original version for more mobility, and we are a fan of the new wing backpack attachment design of the 2nd form.

But the best part of this kit is probably its Cross Mace weapon. The weapon design looked like something from Warhammer 40k. We wouldn’t be surprised if that is where the Designer had its idea from.
It looks badass, and it is something that nothing would be able to survive being bonked by it.
We might not be interested in getting it, but we are sure that fans of the IBO series and its side stories would love to get their hands on this badass HGIBO kit.

And that concludes our 482nd edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. It’s nice to cover all the latest P-Bandai news. But unfortunately for us, the Gundam Base chaps just dropped HUGE Gunpla release announcements.
And all of them look pretty badass. We can’t wait to write about them in the next blog post!
Anyways, we’ll be back again next Thursday (hopefully) with a new blog post. So, do look forward to that!
