The P-Bandai front.
HELLO! We are back!
In today’s 488th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we’ll discuss P-Bandai’s latest Gunpla release announcement! And this week, we’re seeing another P-Bandai kit from the HGTWFM side that we find very interesting and frustrating.
So, without further ado. Let us get into it, shall we?
HG 1/144 MSJ-OP122 Demi Garrison (HGTWFM)

Release Date: December 2023
Estimated price: JPY 2,420 (MYR RM 76.96* / USD $ 16.84* / EUR € 15.34*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

Our hopes of seeing the Demi Garrison getting a regular release shattered when we saw the P-Bandai announcement of this. Seeing how well the HGTWFM kits are selling, we are sure that the Bandai would be confident enough to release the Demi Garrison as a standard release.
But this P-Bandai announcement proves that Bandai is still not confident enough that the Demi Garrison will sell well. Maybe it’s because how the anime’s ending feels a bit rushed? Or maybe due to the recent controversy? Or are they worried that the end of the anime series would dampen the interest in the new HGTWFM kit announcement?

Whatever the reason, we’re disappointed to see the HGTWFM Demi Garrison getting the P-Bandai treatment here. It’s definitely the best version of the Demi series. Sadly, new fans won’t be able to get this through normal means.
But enough of that, let’s talk about what we think of this P-Bandai HGTWFM kit.
From what we can see, the P-Bandai used the standard HGTWFM Demi Trainer as the base for the HGTWFM Demi Garrison, with changes to the color scheme, getting a new head unit, new shoulder armor attachment, a new backpack unit, and minor additions on the leg.
They even included Chuchu’s large Beam Rifle, the standard Demi Trainer’s Beam Gun, two arm Gatling Gun parts, one new Beam Rifle design, one Bazooka, two beam sabers, and two backpack missile launchers.

And yes, it does come with the Front Management Company’s decal, which looked pretty badass. Honestly, it looked like we’re getting a lot of stuff here.
All in all, this looks really promising. And we are sure it would sell as well as the standard version (and it does from seeing how fast the PO window for this kit closes), especially considering it comes with a lot of stuff here.
So, why, then, is this version getting the P-Bandai treatment? That is something we will never understand.

And that concludes our 488th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. An interesting Gunpla release announcement news which we admit is a bit frustrating to see getting the P-Bandai treatment.
So, you can imagine how frustrating it is for us to see the Preorder window for this kit close as soon as it opens. It is clear from seeing how fast it closes that most fans of the HGTWFM series wanted to get this version of the HGTWFM Demi in their collection.
Seriously, this shouldn’t be a P-Bandai release. They should’ve just given this a standard release window.
Anyways, we’ll be back next Thursday (hopefully) with a new blog post. Yes, we will be taking some time off this weekend to do something. So, we’ll see you again next week!
