HELLO! We are back!
In today’s 507th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we’ll discuss The Gundam Base Limited’s latest Gunpla release announcements! Honestly? We weren’t planning to cover The Gundam base releases in today’s blog post. However, they made one release announcement that made us change our minds.
And that is the one that we’ll write about today.
So, without further ado. Let us get into it, shall we?
MG 1/100 Gundam Base Limited MS-06K Zaku Cannon [Z Gundam Ver.](MG)

Release Date: 25th November 2024
Estimated price: JPY 6,600 (MYR RM 204.92* / USD $ 43.87* / EUR € 41.01*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

Frankly, this is one of those releases that surprised us. Because we thought this Earth Federation version would get an Event or a P-Bandai exclusive release.
But we are glad that The Gundam Base Limited side picked this up! That means there will still be a possibility that we could get one whenever we visit any Gundam Base shops, or if we’re lucky enough, we’ll be able to get it as an event-exclusive kit at our local GWBC event.
Without breaking the bank, of course.
But what sets this one apart from its Retail version?

Well, to be honest? Nothing much. Because all you really get here is a new paint job and a new decal set. Everything else here is the same.
So why do we drop all our posting plans to discuss this release?
Well, that’s easy. Because we think this looks badass. Even though it is relatively the same as its retail version, we commend The Gundam Base Limited’s work in making the Zeta version of the MG Zaku Cannon look badass!

Because we know how hard it is to make purple look good on a Gunpla (especially on an MG kit) without looking like a kid’s toy. We are really impressed by The Gundam Base Limited chap’s ability to make this look good in purple. Plus, The Earth Federation decals they made exclusive for this make this look like something from the MG Ver. Ka series.

All in all, we’re really looking forward to getting this one, and we hope that we’ll be lucky enough to secure one!
And that concludes our 507th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. It’s nice to have covered this Gundam Base Limited’s release announcement. We know not all here would be interested in this, but we find this one release to be quite an interesting one.
Anyway, we’ll be back next Saturday (hopefully) with a new blog post. So do look forward to it!
