That is a lot of Freedom
HELLO! We are back!
In today’s 523rd edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we’ll discuss one very interesting Gunpla release. Why interesting, you ask? You can only get this kit by buying the limited edition version of a J-pop Artist’s single album.
So, without further ado. Let us get into it, shall we?
HG 1/144 ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam [Polarized Clear](HGCE)

Release Date: 24 January 2024
Estimated price: JPY 6,000 (MYR RM 190.87* / USD $ 40.49* / EUR € 37.17*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation
Honestly? With the release date of the SEED FREEDOM movie creeping ever closer, we’re not surprised to see more SEED-related release announcements made so close to the release of the movie.
But we’re still surprised to see a SEED HGCE kit collaboration with a J-Pop artist, especially considering how popular music streaming services are nowadays. We thought there was no way that Bandai would do another Artist Gunpla collaboration after the YOASOBI The Witch From Mercury Gunpla collaboration.
But it looks like we’re wrong!
But if we’re honest, though? We don’t mind Bandai doing this because we admit that we like collecting Physical media, and we appreciate Bandai giving us a reason to preorder CDs again!

Seeing Bandai going out and releasing a collaboration kit with a single album release is pretty cool. Plus, every time we see Bandai do this Artist collaboration thing, it reminds us of the time they did the Linkin Park collaboration kit. Hopefully, we will get another chance to own the legendary Linkin GP01 kit again.
But the best part about this, and what makes this particular collaboration kit awesome, is that you get a Polarized Clear HGCE Freedom Gundam kit with the SEED FREEDOM movie theme song by Tetsuya Komuro single album. Yes, admittedly, there is a lot of freedom you get here.
Admittedly, even though we might not have the final look of the kit, we know that it would look good, and the best part? You’re getting something based on a badass HGCE kit. Plus, it is really cool to have a Freedom Gundam kit that comes with a soundtrack.
We’re really looking forward to this!
Oh btw, if you’re interested in checking out the album, here is the link!
And that concludes our 523rd edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. Not the most interesting Gunpla release announcements we see this week, but honestly? It is nice to see Gunpla and Jpop Artists doing another Gunpla collaboration like this.
We hope that we get to see more collaborations like this!
We’ll be back next Thursday (hopefully) with a new blog post. So do look forward to it!
