Will Athrun bring balance to the force?
HELLO! We’re back!
In today’s 526th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we’ll continue where we left off with the retail news and talk about one of the SEED FREEDOM kits we’re interested in.
Unfortunately, again, we find ourselves in a predicament where we didn’t have enough time to focus on Gunpla discussions, so today, we’ll talk about another HGCE SEED FREEDOM kit we’re fascinated by.
So, without further ado. Let us get into it, shall we?
HG 1/144 ZGMF-X191M2 Infinite Justice Gundam Type-2 (HGCE)

Estimated price: JPY 3,080 (MYR 99.31* / USD 21.00* / EUR 19.52*)

Of all the SEED FREEDOM MS designs, admittedly, the Infinite Justice Type-2 is our favorite MS design from this series. It looks badass, and the X-Wing-inspired backpack unit fits surprisingly well on the Infinite Justice Type-2’s looks.
But the best part? The Gunpla version looks as badass as its anime counterpart.
But what’s so cool about this version of the Infinite Justice, you may ask? Well, for one, the new X-Wing-inspired backpack unit. The Infinite Justice looked so cool in the anime scenes with the X-Wing backpack unit but in Gunpla form? It looked even better with the X-Wing wings opened up!

The best bit about the wings? You have a badass beam effect on each wing! We don’t think the iconic Star Wars X-Wing has a beam saber attached to its wings. We imagine the Empire would last long if the Rebels had these in their arsenal.
To be honest? We did not expect the X-Wing backpack to work on the Gunpla form, but surprisingly, it came together quite nicely, and the X-Wing backpack makes the Infinite Justice look badass. Even detached, the backpack looked cool as heck!
But we admit that when we first saw this, we assumed that the Infinite Justice bits were all inherited from the standard HGCE Infinite Justice. But after a much closer examination, we realize that that is not the case here.

Why? It’s because we can see that almost everything about this version of the Infinite Justice is new. But the changes are cosmetic only because we suspect Bandai retains the same joint system from the HGCE Infinite Justice for this version. But then again, why change when it works perfectly well?
But even with that said, it does look different enough to justify getting this! Plus, it is worth getting this kit just for the X-Wing Infinite Justice Type-2’s backpack unit!

And that concludes our 526th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. Honestly? The Infinite Justice Type-2 might be one of the most badass MS designs we’ve seen! It’s a shame it didn’t come with the cool Z’gok outer armor!
And yes, they even have a Z’gok here! And it is the coolest Z’gok that we have ever seen!
Anyway, we’ll be back next Thursday (hopefully) with a new blog post. So do look forward to it!
