HELLO! We are back!

In today’s 562nd edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we’ll continue to cover one of P-Bandai’s latest release announcements from last week.

And yes, we’ll finally talk about that P-Bandai SEED FREEDOM HGCE kit.

So, without further ado. Let us get into it, shall we?

HG 1/144 ZGMF-2025/F Gelgoog Manace (HGCE)

Release Date: October 2024

Estimated price: JPY 3,190 (MYR 96.89* / USD 20.73* / EUR 19.13*)

Honestly, this was the first kit that P-Bandai announced last week that we saw, but when we wanted to write about our thoughts on that, P-Bandai decided to release the RG Blast Impulse. Yes, we also missed the preorders for it. We did not mind it, though, because, at the time, we knew that P-Bandai would follow up with another release announcement.

But even with that said, we didn’t expect to see P-Bandai announce the RG Blast Impulse Spec II because we thought P-Bandai would most likely reopen the preorder window for Hilda’s version of the Gyan Storm.

But despite all that, does that mean we’re not interested in getting this version of the HGCE Gelgoog Manace?  

Honestly, we’re, but we don’t have such a big pile of funds to throw at two P-Bandai releases like these (Yes, we know the irony of talking about not having enough funds to get two kits at once when the truth is we didn’t even manage to PO any of them). Yes, even though we expect P-Bandai to announce this version of the HGCE Gelgoog Manace at some point, we didn’t expect it to be this soon.

However, this does not mean we do not like what we see here; on the contrary, we want this version of the HGCE Gelgoog Manace.

Yes, admittedly, what we are getting here is technically a recolored HGCE Gelgoog Manace with the HGCE Gyan Storm’s backpack unit.

But is that such a bad thing? We have experience building the HGCE Lunamaria’s Gelgoog Manace, which is a pretty decent kit. It might not be the best HG kit out there. Still, we see people liking it enough to get another version of it, especially considering that you’re getting a short-barrel version of the Beam Rifle that comes with the Lunamaria version.

Plus, the alternate color scheme looks remarkable on this HGCE Gelgoog Manace version.

All in all, this kit is worth getting for fans of the SEED FREEDOM movie and HGCE Gelgoog Manace fans. But since the PO window has been closed, it’s best to wait until P-Bandai reopens the preorder window for this kit.

You can also customize it yourself; it is still cheaper than buying it from the Gunpla resellers. Well, that is unless you have no choice.
