It’s the only luminescent green we don’t mind seeing on our v Gundam.
HELLO! We are back!
In today’s 575th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we’ll discuss one of P-Bandai’s most intriguing recent Gunpla release announcements. This particular announcement interests us because it’s a Gunpla release that comes with a drink.
So, without further ado. Let us get into it, shall we?
EG 1/144 RX-93 v Gundam [Lumiscent Psycho-Frame Image Color] (Entry Grade)

Release Date: October, 2024
Estimated price: JPY 1,760 (MYR 49.85* / USD 12.10* / EUR 10.83*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

Bandai announcing another Gunpla release in the Lumisencent Psycho-Frame color scheme doesn’t surprise us. We were, in fact, expecting to see this version after Gundam Base Limited had a good run with the release of the HGUC Gaera Doga, HGUC GM III, and HGUC Jegan in this same color scheme.
It would make sense if the next release with this color scheme was the v Gundam. However, none of us expected the EG version of the v Gundam to get the Lumiscent Psycho-Frame color treatment. We truly believe they would use the HGUC version instead of the EG since it would fit well with the other release in the same color scheme.
But then again, we get why they decided to use the EG version. The final scene in CCA shows the V Gundam without its fin funnels, and since the EG v Gundam doesn’t come with fin funnels, it makes sense for Bandai to go with the EG. If that is the case, why do they bother giving it its beam rifle and shield? Wouldn’t it make more sense to release this as bare as possible?
Why does this bother us so much?

Honestly, it’s because we felt like Bandai missed an opportunity to release the complete version of the EG v Gundam (with the fin Funnels and stuff) here instead of releasing the same thing with the same old bits. We know that some of us wouldn’t mind spending money to get this version, but the least that they could do is try to make it worthwhile.
And, yes, if you’re already quite familiar with the EG v Gundam, you will find this to be more and less the same thing. But even with that said, we’d be lying if we said that you don’t get anything new here because the truth is, you do.
For one, you get the EG v Gundam in that beautiful Lumiscent Psycho-Frame color scheme, and you also get some cool sticker decals.
But that is about it in terms of new things that you’re getting here.

But then again, it’s not that bad since the base kit is fantastic. So, despite being more or less the same thing, we don’t believe that fans of the EG v Gundam would mind getting another version.
With this release, you’re not just getting a Gunpla; you’re also getting a Ramune Cider drink. So, if you’re a fan of Ramune drinks, you might want to go for this one.
But even with that said, Bandai is making it hard for fans of this version to get it since the only way to buy it currently is via Amazon.jp and the P-Bandai website. We wonder why they decided to limit themselves to selling this via these two websites, but we have a feeling that it will eventually make its way to the Gundam Base Limited chaps. Or better yet, we might see them selling it through 7-Eleven in Japan.
The only caveat is that it would take some time to get there, that is, if Bandai decided to sell this to the masses.

This concludes the 575th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. We know what some of you might wonder when you saw this post: Why are we covering this instead of the latest P-Bandai release announcement?
Don’t worry—we will discuss that one in our post next week. We admit that the new P-Bandai’s Gunpla release announcement news comes a bit unexpectedly, and to be honest, we have a lot to say about it since we find it to be quite an exciting release.
But we might need some time to formulate our thoughts on that one, so we decided to postpone it to next week.
Anyhow.
We’ll return in the upcoming segment next Thursday (hopefully) with a new blog post! So do look forward to that!
