HELLO! We are back!

In today’s 598th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will discuss one surprise teaser announcement from the retail side. We admit that even though we were expecting this release from Bandai, we expected to see this announcement when the series proper is officially out.

But even with that said, we are glad we are getting it early.

So, without further ado. Let us get into it, shall we?

[Teaser] HG 1/144 gMS-a Red Gundam (HGGQUUUUUX)

Release Date: May 2025

Estimated price: JPY 2,750 (MYR 79.81* / USD 18.03* / EUR 17.33*)

Like we said at the start, this is something that we are pretty surprised to see. The reason is that we were expecting Bandai to release this one when they properly released the anime series. But then again, Bandai might be inspired to release this earlier after seeing how well the movie performed.

Anyway, let’s talk about this kit, and since it is a teaser, we shall keep it brief until we learn more about this release.

All we can say for now is that it is a fascinating take from Studio Khara on the OG Gundam. We have been getting a lot of different iterations of the OG Gundam’s design, but this is the first one we think looks nothing like we are familiar with. It might share some elements of the original, but they changed it so much that it is hard to tell at first.

And we like it. We look forward to learning more about this release and finally getting it in our hands.

This concludes the 598th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. After going through weeks of silence, Bandai finally dropped a lot of new Gunpla release announcements (mainly from the P-Bandai side) and a teaser for the retail side!
