Let’s Talk Gunpla Vol.605

Almost looked like the Chinese Mk.II ripoff

HELLO! We are back!

In today’s 605th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, as promised, we shall discuss P-Bandai’s latest Gunpla release announcements! Yes, we will finally be talking about P-Bandai releases. But we’ll start this one with the latest one first.

So, without further ado. Let us get into it, shall we?

MG 1/100 F80 Gunraid (MG)

finally a MS that combines the two MS designs that we love, the Jegan and the Mk.II in one

As we edge closer to the end of the alphabet for the P-Bandai exclusive F90 Mission Pack A to Z to use, we thought we would get a new Mission Pack for the MG F90 when we heard about a new release under this lineup. However, we instead got new MS designs for this series.

Admittedly, we were disappointed since we hoped to see some new crazy F90 Mission pack expansion. But getting a new Full MG release instead of an expansion isn’t all that bad.

The other thing that we think is not bad is its looks. Honestly, when we compare the looks of this and the MG F90, we all agree that the MG Gunraid looks better than the MG F90.

Somehow they made the grunt version looked even better then the main MS

Why? We think it had all the right chunks on its limbs, and we were also fans of how the chest unit looked like a combination of the Jegan and the Mk.II’s chest unit.

But the best thing about this is that you can make the MG Gunraid look even better with all the existing MG F90’s Mission Pack expansions!

Yes, you heard us right! You can reuse all the existing MG F90 Mission packs on the MG Gunraid!

WE are really looking forward to what crazy combinations we can pull off with this kit.

This alone is the only selling point that we need to convince us to be preordering this MG kit.

But then again, we may have to start collecting another set of mounts since we might want to pair those with the MG Gunraid. We imagine we might need a bigger space to display ALL the MG Gunraids with all the MG F90 expansions.

Not to mention the amount of money required to make that a reality.

All in all, this kit looks promising. And this is one P-Bandai kit we look forward to getting this year.

Looking at how fast the PO window closed for this kit, we have a feeling that it is a scalpers favorite too

This concludes the 605th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. It’s nice to see P-Bandai still releasing new MG F90-related kits, but it is sad to know that we are also reaching the end game for this Gunpla lineup. After all the MG kits have been released, we start to wonder what the future holds for this incredible Gunpla lineup.

Anyways
