Will this be the last HGACE kit?

HELLO! We are back!

In today’s 612th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we’ll continue discussing P-Bandai’s recent Gunpla release announcement. The kit that we will be discussing is quite interesting since it is an HGACE kit.

Why is it interesting? For one, the associated anime ended 13 years ago, and secondly, it has been quite a while since we saw a new HGACE kit. While we know that most HGACE kits released after the anime finished airing have been exclusive P-Bandai products, it is still encouraging to see that Bandai is actively producing new HGACE kits.

So, without further ado. Let us get into it, shall we?

To say that we are shocked would be an understatement. We never expected Bandai to announce a new HGACE kit, especially since it doesn’t have a new project associated with it like many of its peers. Additionally, it is not as popular as the other kits.

While we appreciate that P-Bandai continues to release new kits for the AGE series, which may not be the most popular, it’s a kind gesture for fans of HGAGE who have been eagerly awaiting new offerings. However, one thing is certain: both fans of the AGE series and ourselves would prefer if Bandai would finally deliver the MG AGE 3 that they teased many years ago.

Anyways, let us talk more about this kit, shall we? So, what is new here?

Well, since this is based on the HGAGE Genoace II, it still inherits the same limbs, and looking at the promotional materials, the same articulation system as well. It even inherits the same shield unit as the HGAGE Geniace II’s.  

While the new bits that we are getting here are the head, chest (which includes the embedded backpack unit, shoulder armor, and a new beam rifle.

Yes, we are getting a lot of new things here. However, after reviewing the promotional materials, we believe that many people might find that building this P-Bandai exclusive kit would be quite similar to constructing the retail version it is primarily based on

But then again that is expected, since. Lore-wise it is a modernized version of the Genoace II. So it shouldn’t be that different than the base Genoace II.

However, that won’t deter most of us from purchasing this kit. Despite it being largely the same as previous versions, it has an appealing design. Even those of us who aren’t fans of the AGE series find ourselves intrigued enough to consider getting this kit.

So that is already a really good reason to get this P-Bandai exclusive kit. Well, that is as long as you are apart of the lucky few that manage to Preorder this kit.

This concludes the 612th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. FINALLY, we managed to catch up with all the P-Bandai release announcements. There are a lot of really interesting announcements from P-Bandai this time around, and with the GQuuuuuuX anime airing we have a feeling that we might see more awesome releases from both the retail and P-Bandai sides in the coming months.
