Let’s Talk Gunpla Vol.625

This is the Wrong sentinel, bro.

HELLO! We are back!

In today’s 625th Edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we’ll be taking a short detour and talking about that new P-Bandai release announcement that they made quite recently. One that we feel is that we didn’t expect to see a P-Bandai release, and one that we felt isn’t something most of us asked for.

So, without further ado. Let us get into it, shall we?

MG 1/100 MSA-0011 [Ext] Ex-S/ MSA-0011 S Gundam [Task Force a Ver.]

MG 1/100 MSA-011 [Ext] Ex-S Gundam / MSA-011 S Gundam [Task Force a Ver.] (MG)
Release Date: November 2025
Estimated price: JPY 16,500 (MYR 481.98* / USD 16.82* / EUR 96.40*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation
Why?

When this dropped, we were all baffled by it, because the thing is despite what we said about the Retail version of the MG Ex Gundam at least we can understand why they decided to release a Ver.1.5. A minor update to address some of the issues that one might face with the original version.

When we heard that P-Bandai planned to announce a new MG kit from the Gundam Sentinel series, we thought we might finally be getting either the MG Version of the Xekueins or, at the very least, if they are lazy, an updated version of the MG EX-S Booster Gundam.

So instead of getting that, imagine how pissed off we were when we instead get ANOTHER MG EX-S Gundam / S Gundam variant.

Are we a joke to you, Bandai?

Seriously are we just a joke to you?

Why are we so pissed off, you ask? Well, we are not particularly mad that we are getting another MG EX-S Gundam kit, is just that we are pissed that all this while we thought the kit that Bandai released for the retail side is the reimagined version of the Task Force a Colors, but now they are telling us that ‘no actually this P-Bandai kit is the Task Force a Ex-S Gundam’.

its nice to see that this version also gets all the same things that you get with the 2019 version

And THE WORSE PART IS THAT you have this version released as the P-Bandai exclusive? What the heck is wrong with you, Bandai?

Why didn’t you release this as the retail version and the retail version as the P-Bandai one? Heck, why didn’t you just release this as a retail release, instead of having P-Bandai release this instead? We imagine that would go a lot better than having the P-Bandai be the one releasing this.

At least this still looks cool as heck

So, yeah, don’t expect anything much from this kit because it is just a recolored ‘back to the right version’ of the MG Ver.1.5 that we got back in 2019. We are not expecting Bandai to make any improvements here, nor do we imagine they would add anything new either.

Yes, all of the same things

So, to whom does this release appeal? Well, we imagine either fans of the MG Ex-S series or those who are annoyed that the MG Ex-S kit that they bought isn’t in the right colors. For us, tho? We might not be interested, and we would rather wait until they finally give us the MG Xeku Eins.

This concludes the 625th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. We were really disappointed with P-Bandai when we saw this release announcement. We expected better from them when we heard that they would release a new kit for the Sentinel MG series.

We hope this will be the last time we see them pull this kind of nonsense. But we suspect that they won’t.

Anyway, we will be back soon with a new blog post! So we do look forward to seeing you guys then!

Also, you might have noticed a slight change to our posts, which is because we recently added a donation tab to our posts to help keep this site running and to fund our future projects. However, we want to clarify that we will not be placing any of our content behind a paywall. All of our content will remain free for everyone to access.

The reason why we decided to add the donation tab is that after managing this blog with our funds for so long, we’ve found that even with ads, it hasn’t been enough to maintain the site without putting ourselves in debt. We have tried our best not to resort to this, since we are doing this blog for fun, and we really didn’t plan to earn money from doing this.

However, since the start of the year, we have been struggling financially to keep this site running, and we refuse to give up on it after putting so much work into it.

So that is why, for the first time after running this site for so long, we are finally asking for help from you, our readers.

If you appreciate what we do and want us to continue providing this content, we would greatly appreciate any support through donations to help keep us afloat.
