HELLO! We are back!

In today’s 628th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we’ll now discuss one of the retail side (we hope) Gunpla latest release teaser announcements. Yes, we will finally be discussing that Retail HGGQX reveal.

So, without further ado. Let us get into it, shall we?

[The Rumor Mill] HG 1/144 gMS-Ω GQuuuuuuX (Endymion Unit Awakened) (HGGQX)

We know that this is a BIG SPOILER kit for us, since we just started watching the GQuuuuuuX anime recently. However, it is still interesting to see that we were somewhat correct; there is an EVA in this Gundam series, after all.

Anyways…

Since Bandai is just teasing us this time around and we are not familiar with the series just yet, we don’t know much about it; however, from what we learned from going through the HGGGQX GFreD’s release and some minor reading, we have an inkling that we will definately get the Endymion Awakened head unit included in this set. The only thing left for us to figure out is whether we will get a separate head unit or a proper articulated head unit, like we get with the EVA01.

But we have a feeling that we most likely will be getting a fixed head unit variant instead of an articulated one. Why? It’s because this is an HG kit; we imagine Bandai wouldn’t even bother going that far with the HG kit.  

The other thing that we are quite fascinated by in this release is the round beam effect things that you can see on the kit. Yes, since we haven’t really watched the show yet, we don’t know what these things are for, but admittedly, we are quite interested in it. Just because we think it does look cool as heck.

But even with that said, we don’t expect this release to be any different than the standard HGGQX GQuuuuuuX release. Although we hope that Bandai would at least make some minor improvements, for instance, by including some waterslide decals for this kit. Honestly? That would definitely make it worthwhile for those who already own the earlier release to consider getting this. But knowing Bandai, we don’t think they will put that much effort into this release.  

But even with that said, we still find ourselves drawn to this. So yeah, can imagine getting this kit as soon as it releases.

This concludes the 628th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. This might be the first Gundam anime that we waited for the entire series to be released before watching it. Normally, we will try to get in as soon as we can.

The reason for that is in part because we needed to subscribe to Prime Video, and from our own experience, we are not a big fan of dealing with that app.

We know that there is always the ‘high seas’ option, but we don’t believe that would be the best way to support the anime. So we decided to wait it out for all the episodes to be out, subscribe to Prime, and unsubscribe from it as soon as we’re done with the show.

It sucks, but at least we can finally get to binge the whole thing in one go. Instead of dealing with Prime for the whole time, we wait for the show to be out.

Anyway, we will be back soon with a new blog post! So we do look forward to seeing you guys then!
