Let’s Talk Gunpla Vol.631

Isn’t there any other better colors that they can go for?

HELLO! We are back!

In today’s 631st edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will continue where we left off with the Gundam Base Limited release discussion and discuss the other Gundam Base exclusive release that was announced at the same time as the MG Freedom that we talked about in our last blog post.

But unlike the MG Freedom, we think this one would be a bit harder for them to justify spending money on.

So, without further ado. Let us get into it, shall we?

The Gundam Base Limited MG 1/100 ZGMF-X09A Justice Gundam [Contrast Colors/ Clear Green](MG)

A beautiful MG kit that got one of the ugliest yellow color scheme that we’ve seen to date

Seriously.

Out of all the colors that they could go for the Justice, why in the name of all that is holy did they decide to go with this? YELLOW and GOLD? Why don’t they stick with one color scheme? It would be fine if they were to go all gold here; it might be a pain to work with, but we think it would look good overall with the clear-green bits.

But no, instead they decided to pair the gold with puke-yellow.

We are baffled by this because the Gundam Base side managed to make something that looked so cool into something that looked tacky and trashy all at the same time. And the custom decals that this kit gets don’t help to make it look better; in fact, we think that they made it look even worse.

All the green bits looked fantastic, except the yellow bits, we just think it doesn’t work well with the green

It’s almost like this is an absolute contrast to the Gundam Base’s version of the MG Freedom Ver.2.0’s contrast colors version, where we adore the looks of that kit.

But then again, there might be people out there who would like this, but for us, even as MG Justice fans, we find this a bit hard to justify getting. We just cannot deal with the puke-yellow bits they used here. Speaking of the MG Justice, we know what you’re wondering? Besides the ugly color-scheme and decals, what else are we getting here?

Unfortunately, just like the MG Freedom Contrast colors, this is still the same MG Justice, just with an ugly color scheme and decal set. So we are expecting this kit to come with the same waist joint issue and stiff backpack issue like its regular release counterpart.

Just remember to be careful with them when you pose it for the first time, just be gentle

But unlike the MG Freedom Ver.. 2.0 Contrast Color, we are not keen on getting this version of the MG Justice.

This concludes the 631st edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. We know that P-Bandai just dropped a new release announcement, one that we have been waiting for ever since they revealed it during the Shizouka Hobby Show.

And worry not, we are going to cover that one in the next coming blog post, which is coming soon! So do look forward to that!

Also, you might have noticed a slight change to our posts, which is because we recently added a donation tab to our posts to help keep this site running and to fund our future projects. However, we want to clarify that we will not be placing any of our content behind a paywall. All of our content will remain free for everyone to access.

The reason why we decided to add the donation tab is that after managing this blog with our funds for so long, we’ve found that even with ads, it hasn’t been enough to maintain the site without putting ourselves in debt. We have tried our best not to resort to this, since we are doing this blog for fun, and we really didn’t plan to earn money from doing this.

However, since the start of the year, we have been struggling financially to keep this site running, and we refuse to give up on it after putting so much work into it.

So that is why, for the first time after running this site for so long, we are finally asking for help from you, our readers.

If you appreciate what we do and want us to continue providing this content, we would greatly appreciate any support through donations to help keep us afloat.
