That season 1 final battle scene can now be properly recreated
HELLO! We are back!
In today’s 634th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we’ll discuss P-Bandai’s latest Gunpla release announcements! We are aware that P-Bandai just dropped more P-Bandai kits for us to discuss, but we’ll take it easy today and cover one of the much older release announcements that we were all most excited about here.
And the one that we will be discussing is a P-Bandai exclusive HG00 kit.
So, without further ado. Let us get into it, shall we?
HG 1/144 SVMS-01X Union Flag Custom II (GN Flag) [Graham Aker Custom] (HG00)

Release Date: September 2025
Estimated price: JPY 2,200 (MYR 63.27* / USD 14.89* / EUR 12.80*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

After the end of the 00 Gundam season 1, this was one MS design that we were looking forward to the most for Bandai to announce. It took them so long that we already gave up all hope that we’ll be able to see this version of the Union Flag getting the Gunpla treatment.
So imagine our surprise and delight when out of nowhere, P-Bandai dropped this HG00 announcement.
But enough fanboy-ing here, let’s talk more about this kit.
Because what are we getting here, really?
From the looks of it, we are getting a slightly modified version of the HG00’s Union Flag Custom. When we say slightly modified, what we mean here is that they removed the winged backpack (located at the back and waist section of the Union Flag Custom) units to make way for the GN Drive Tau and the new beam saber equipment.

But the rest of the kit is still the same Union Flag Custom base that you get from the 2007 version.
From reading the promotional materials, there is no indication that we are getting any improvements on the joint system to make the kit more stable, so don’t expect any changes to that. But it’s not that it needed any improvements, since the main issue of this kit is mostly due to it being back-heavy. Why back heavy, you ask? Well, that is because of the backpacks, making the original version a bit unstable. Since they remove the backpack units, we believe that would unintentionally solve the HG00 Union Flag being back-heavy issue.

But that is not the reason why we wanted this; the other reason why is that now we can finally recreate the final battle scene between Graham Aker and Setsuna from the final episode of the 1st season of 00 Gundam.
To finally get to complete that is a dream come true for most of us here. Thanks to P-Bandai, we finally managed to complete that in our lifetime.

However, the question now is whether we can get one.
And the sad answer to that is no. No thanks to the wonderful scalpers. Since we stand by with our decision to not deal with scalpers, we just have to wait until P-Bandai relists them again on shopee. But at least it is nice to know that this version exists and there is still a way to own one.
This concludes the 634th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. There is still quite a lot of P-Bandai announcements to cover this time around, and we originally thought that we wanted to cover all in today’s blog post. However, due to time constraints, we decided to cut the post short and maybe try to cover all of them in the next blog post.
We hope.
Anyways, we will continue this P-Bandai discussion again in the next blog post. So do look forward to that!
Also, you might have noticed a slight change to our posts, which is because we recently added a donation tab to our posts to help keep this site running and to fund our future projects. However, we want to clarify that we will not be placing any of our content behind a paywall. All of our content will remain free for everyone to access.
The reason why we decided to add the donation tab is that after managing this blog with our funds for so long, we’ve found that even with ads, it hasn’t been enough to maintain the site without putting ourselves in debt. We have tried our best not to resort to this, since we are doing this blog for fun, and we really didn’t plan to earn money from doing this.
However, since the start of the year, we have been struggling financially to keep this site running, and we refuse to give up on it after putting so much work into it.
So that is why, for the first time after running this site for so long, we are finally asking for help from you, our readers.
If you appreciate what we do and want us to continue providing this content, we would greatly appreciate any support through donations to help keep us afloat.
