7th time the charm?
HELLO! We are back!
In today’s 643rd edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we’ll discuss one of P-Bandai’s latest Gunpla release announcements! And it is a release announcement for a kit that we never imagined we would see in Gunpla form.
So, without further ado. Let us get into it, shall we?
HG 1/144 RX-78-7 7th Gundam (HGUC)

Release Date: December 2025
Estimated price: JPY 2,200 (MYR 61.83* / USD 14.64* / EUR 12.52*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

This is the one that really surprised us all. Yes, we know that it wasn’t that long ago we were surprised by the RE100 De’an Gei’s announcement. But this is the one announcement that we never imagined we would get this year.
We really thought that we would never get to see this version of the 7th Gundam in our lifetime. It was the version that we all dreamed about getting, especially for those lucky enough to be able to play (and understand) the PS3 Mobile Suit Gundam: Record of Battlefield Game in all its Japanese language glory, or those who built the Full Armor 7th Gundam.
But you might be wondering, are we getting the same HGUC Full Armor 7th Gundam with a new armor set? Honestly, that is what we initially thought. But after spending time with this kit, we realise that P-Bandai revamped the whole thing.

The first thing that we notice is its articulation. The 2009 HGUC Full Armor 7th Gundam had decent articulation, something that is expected for kits that are released at this time. But this P-Bandai kit? It had a HGUC Gundam Revive level of articulation, no, scratch that, it had a much better articulation compared to the Revive kit.
From looking at all its promotional materials, it is clear that we can pull off much more expressive and dynamic action poses compared to the 2009 HGUC Full Armor 7th Gundam cousin.

The other thing that we noticed is that the level of color separation for the parts is akin to what we get with modern HG kits. Even the level of detail that we are seeing here is miles ahead of what we get with the 2009 HGUC Full Armor 7th Gundam.
And goddamn, they finally fixed the trigger finger on this version! No longer are we subjected to a kit that looked really funny, holding one of the most badass-looking beam rifles.
Looking at this does make us wonder if there is a possibility that we will be getting the HGUC Full Armor 7th Gundam Ver.2.0? If we are, we sure hope that Bandai releases that as a retail release. Because it would be a damn shame to have one of the best-looking Gundams to be locked away as a P-Bandai exclusive.
It looks so good that we do not think people would want to pass up on this one.

All in all, to us, this is one of the most exciting news to have come out from the P-Bandai side for a while. Too bad the PO closed before we could get one. But we are sure that P-Bandai will relist it again sometime in the future, and we are sure to be there when they do. Or better yet? If they ever decide to release the new version of the HGUC Full Armor 7th Gundam, you’d bet your bums we would be there to preorder this badass piece of plastic!

This concludes the 643rd edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. Honestly, we think P-Bandai has been going on a really awesome roll here. WE are really excited to see what other awesome kits they have in store.
But for now, we might be getting something really awesome from the retail side. And this time it looks like we are getting a new MG announcement!
We will return again soon-ish with a new blog post, so do look forward to that!
Also, you might have noticed a slight change to our posts, which is because we recently added a donation tab to our posts to help keep this site running and also to possibly help fund our future Gunpla-related projects. However, we want to clarify to all of you here that even though we are adding a donation tab, that doesn’t mean that we will be placing any of our existing or future content behind a paywall. All of our content will remain free for everyone to access, regardless of whether you decide to donate to us or not.
But that doesn’t mean that we do not have anything special for those who helped us keep the site running. We do! However, we are still trying to finalize some things, and we will have something special planned for our donors! But for now, with everything that has been happening, we still need some time before we can confirm anything. We hope by November we can start revealing what we have to offer to our donors! So worry not!
Also, the main reason why we decided to add the donation tab is that after managing this blog with our funds for so long, we’ve found that even with ads, it hasn’t been enough to maintain the site without putting ourselves in debt. We have tried our best not to resort to this, since we are doing this blog for fun, and we really didn’t plan to earn money from doing this.
However, since the start of the year, we have been struggling financially to keep this site running, but despite facing a lot of difficulties, we refuse to give up on this site after putting so much work into it. Not to mention, we also want to avoid disappointing our loyal readers.
So that is why, for the first time after running this site for so long, we are finally asking for help from you, our readers.
If you appreciate what we do and want us to continue providing this content, we would greatly appreciate any support through donations to help keep us afloat.
