Let’s Talk Gunpla Vol.647

A good White Christmas gift, this is

HELLO! We are back!

In today’s 647th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we’ll discuss one of Gundam Base Limited’s latest Gunpla release announcements. And my god, it is one of the most beautiful things that we’ve seen this year.

So without further ado. Let us get into it, shall we?

Some people have their dream house, us? we have our dream Gunpla. and this would be one of it

Seeing how well both the Midnight coating version (P-Bandai) and the retail version of the MGEX Strike Freedom Gundam sold, we aren’t that surprised to see that Bandai has planned for another version of the MGEX Strike Freedom for release.

But instead of giving us the Spec II version (the version we all were expecting to see), we are getting another recolored version of the bog standard MGEX Strike Freedom. Normally, when we hear of a new announcement of a recolored version of the same kit, we would be upset by that. But not for this one, because it is hard to get upset when we are getting a beautifully recolored MGEX like this.

Once again, we see Bandai pull off another masterful work here with its recoloring of the MGEX Strike Freedom kit. After gracing us peasants with the beautiful midnight coating version, this time we are getting the Twilight coating version of the MGEX Strike Freedom. What kind of color scheme do we get in this Twilight-coated version, you ask? Well, for this version, we are getting a white (for the outer armor bits) and blue-ish chrome coat (for the inner frame bits).

Even the inner frame looks beautiful

And honestly, we never imagined this kind of color scheme would work so well on the MGEX Strike Freedom.

But the best part about this release? It gives fans of the MGEX Strike Freedom a new good reason to go out to buy another MGEX Strike Freedom.

Although admittedly, the asking price for this is as insane as how this kit looked. But then again, seeing how good-looking this kit is, we don’t think fans of both the Strike Freedom and the MGEX kit would mind forking out money for this insanely good-looking MGEX kit.

The only kit that we feel is worth losing money for.

With that, we conclude the 647th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. With all the fuss that we see with the Showcase of the upcoming PG v Gundam recently, it is nice to spend the time looking at a somewhat old release announcement news. Plus, it is nice to be back writing again after being sick for the whole week.

Anyways, we will return with a new blog post, so do look forward to that!

Also, you may have noticed a slight change to our posts: we recently added a donation tab to help keep this site running and fund our future Gunpla-related projects. However, we want to clarify to all of you here that adding a donation tab doesn’t mean we will place any of our existing or future content behind a paywall. All of our content will remain free for everyone to access, whether or not you decide to donate to us.

But that doesn’t mean we don’t have something special for those who helped us keep the site running. We do! However, we are still finalizing some details, and we will have something special planned for our donors! But for now, with everything that has been happening, we still need some time before we can confirm anything.

Also, the main reason why we decided to add the donation tab is that after managing this blog with our funds for so long, we’ve found that even with ads, it hasn’t been enough to maintain the site without putting ourselves in debt. We have tried our best not to resort to this, since we are doing this blog for fun and really didn’t plan to earn money from it.

However, since the start of the year, we have been struggling financially to keep this site running. Despite many difficulties, we refuse to give up on it after putting so much work into it. Not to mention, we do not want to disappoint our loyal readers.

So that is why, for the first time after running this site for so long, we are finally asking for help from you, our readers.

If you appreciate what we do and want us to continue providing this content, we would greatly appreciate any support through donations to keep us afloat.

If you can’t or don’t want to contribute, that’s perfectly fine! You’re still supporting us by sharing, commenting, and reading everything we post here. We truly appreciate all the likes on our posts and your feedback!

As always, we welcome both positive and negative feedback —feel free to share your thoughts.

Even on this donation tab.

We are incredibly grateful for your support, and we hope to see you again in the next post!

Once again, thank you.

Also, we hope to see you again soon!

Ciao!
