Oh, god why?

Hello! Kimi here and I’m back with a new Unboxing and First Impressions of HG 1/144 Hyper Gyanko and yes, I still haven’t managed to finish the MG Sazabi Ver.K.A. I honestly really underestimated the effort and time it takes in building this kit, but it is not a kit that I dread coming back to, instead I dread the time I spent being away from building the Sazabi more.

Slowly I am finding myself falling in love more and more with the Sazabi. Really, the Sazabi really is slowly becoming one of the best kits I have ever laid my eyes on and hands on too.

Today, however, we are not going to be talking about the Sazabi yet, we are instead going to be doing an Unboxing and First Impressions of the HG 1/144 Hyper Gyanko instead. Oh yes what better HG kit to fall back to then this, I’ve been building one too many MG’s and RG’s recently and I realised that I haven’t been taking on and built any of the recent HG kits, So I figured why not we change that this week and take on a kit that I’ve been meaning to get and build for the longest of times; The HGBF Hyper Gyanko.

Though I should start this by mentioning that, never in my whole life buying a new gunpla kit that I felt embarrassed and happy at the same time. Why embarrassed you may ask? oh well my dear readers, let me show you why?

Yes, just look at that box.

Yes, that box art, never I feel like buying a gunpla feels like buying some hentai doujin or IRL porn in public in that manner. Never I felt so…..scrutinized in public while carrying this kit around. Not to mention having to deal the privy eyes of the public, while trying to inspect the contents of the Hyper Gyanko in a restaurant. Never in my life I feel like having a fried Chicken in KFC feels like a goddamn chore, I feel like a weeb getting this, honestly.

Wait maybe I’m already one…..Goddamnit.

Though you may ask again, why do I feel happy then after going through all of that? Oh, easy, let me show you why I’m still happy with this.

IMG_6680
Yes, the same reason, and really the only reason I get this kit

Yes, that box art, that wonderful box art. When I see this boxart that art in front of the box really hits hard on my perverted self well. Really looking at that glorious boxart, what more reasons you need to not get this kit. I think the boxart alone already pays for its self, honestly. Putting aside my raging hormones, I do honestly think that this boxart, true to the tradition of all the HGBF kits, still manages to have a pretty nice boxart, though for this one I do agree its really one that people would find hard to take it seriously.

As I go into opening the box (in the safety and the comforts of my house of course), I was greeted by very impressive looking runner parts and wonderfully colored parts as well. As well I do want to mention that I like how detailed some parts were and just by looking at it, it does manageto raise my interest in getting into building this as soon I’m done with the Sazabi. Though looking at it does make me wonder if they improved on the overall design for this as compared to the previous Super Fumina variants. Regardless, I’m quite excited about seeing more of this kit as soon as I’m done with the Sazabi.

beautiful and quite nicely detailed runner parts here.
IMG_6682
not as much parts as the Sazabi, but the colors here is quite impressive.
IMG_6687
Unfortunately, we don’t get a clear part for the beam part of the beam saber……
IMG_6688
Though i was hoping to get more faceplates, but the colors here is quite nice to look at.
IMG_6689
Not to mention the details that you get here….

am just not sure about the stickers this time…though it might be alright, though I wouldn’t want to bet my ass on that…

Finally, we get to the best bit of the unboxing, the manuals. I should start by saying I Love the Hyper Gyanko’s manual, it’s hilarious, nonsensical and a very informative manual out of all the manuals that I’ve gone through. It is one that I really find the most entertaining to read, I really enjoyed my time reading the story behind this kit and its lore. It is really making me want to get the Winning Fumina just to be able to read the lore behind that one too, not to really build but to just read on the lore. Haha.

I do feel that this kit is starting to look quite promising indeed. Really can’t wait to get into building this one.

IMG_6683
Finally a manual that is by far the most entertaining to read.
IMG_6685
by far the most entertaining and informative manuals to date.

Though the instruction part is still as easy to understand as before.

Though this is a kit that is going to be tough to explain why it’s there if I do have a girl coming over. Well, that is IF I can first have a girl coming over that is. I do need to go out and find one first, being cooped up in the room too long it’s not looking good for me, haha.

So with that, ends my Unboxing and First Impressions of the HGBF Hyper Gyanko and aswell my first HG review of 2018. What do you guys think of the Unboxing of this kit? To finally do something that is really different is really refreshing and one that is a welcome change, although I should ge my ass back to the Sazabi! Anyways, we do want to hear of your thoughts on this kit! We always look forward in reading and responding to your comments and thoughts on the announcements and as well to this post!

We will be back with more Let’s Talk Gunpla Segment on the next coming Wednesday and we will be back as well this Sunday with a definite release of the Sazabi’s review. No more delays, haha. I’m sure its has been long enough.

  1. Probably my favorite of the MS Girls, which is funny because I don’t really like Gyanko very much.

Actually my favorite is the Rick-Do Gyanko but it’s P-Bandai so it doesn’t exist.

Yes, the Rick-do Gyanko is the one I’d go for tbh but i really haven’t seen it around these parts yet…..Unfortunately
