Let’s Talk Gunpla Vol.43

We just turned 1!

Hello and welcome back to our 43rd edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment! What a week it is for all of here because this week we are going to be talking about the very recent Retail announcement and all the awesome kit that is set to release soon! Not to mention we are getting some REAL interesting kits announced for this round’s retail announcement.

Oh, before we start, Kimi has something to say before we start yapping about the announcements.

Hi guys, Kimi here! Just wanted to take some time to talk about something with you guys, and don’t worry The Sazabi’s review is set to come out this coming Sunday so do look forward to that. I’m as excited to be posting that one up soon as much as you guys are waiting to read my thoughts on that kit. Haha.

Nah, instead I want to talk about the fact that this blog just recently turned 1 year old today. Honestly, while I was planning and having a discussion with the editorial team yesterday on todays Let’s Talk Gunpla I didn’t realise that we had turned 1 last monday, and while I sat down reflecting on that fact, reflecting on the day I started this blog back when I was back in Tampere, Finland last year, never I thought this blog would garner attention from the Gunpla Community let alone having people engage with me here, have a discussion and have people support me when things go awry for me here in this blog.

Through hardship, failures, sickness, and pain I managed but it is thanks to all of you that supported me here be it my Editorial team and you the readers, that really made going through all of that seems a little bit easier. So I want to thank you for all of your support! Hopefully we would be able to keep giving you guys here awesome content, and hopefully, we would continue to be able to create something truly wonderful for all of you here. I hope you guys will keep on supporting us and it is my sincere hope that reading this blog brings some joy and happiness to all of you as much as creating content and writing about gunpla here brings me joy and happiness.

Here’s to a more awesome 1 year ahead! 😀

Now back to our scheduled programme, and the first kit we would be talking about is……

Love the look of the back of the Galbaldy β

When saw this kit revealed back in end of Dec’17/early jan’18 in the next Gunpla Exhibition, it was really one of the kits that we didn’t cover back in our 37th episode of Let’s Talk Gunpla as admittedly we aren’t as interested in the HGUC’s Galbaldy β at first, but now as we have the proper promotional details, proper release date and price now however…..

We felt bad for not giving this the same love as we did with the rest of the kits that we covered back in the 37th episode of Let’s Talk Gunpla, because honestly the HGUC Galbaldy β looks really bad ass and it is one that comes with many new and awesome improvements on the HGUC line.

10522260b
With how awesome this kit looked we really felt bad not giving it all the attention it needed before….

From the first initial impressions, we have to say that we are pretty impressed by all the gimmicks that Bandai is included for the HGUC Galbaldy β. It does seem like Bandai is taking all the best bits of the HG Origins and the HGIBO series into this new HGUC kit, and it shows by the level of detail that is usually reserved for the MG or RG kits but now we are getting it in an HGUC series.

It’s not just the level of detail that impressed all of us here, the articulation of the HGUC Galbaldy β as well looks hella impressive. The level of movements that you get from the Galbaldy β arm unit is really something that you can really only get on some of the MG kits. But as we make a more detailed analysis of this kit we would even dare say that the articulation that we are seeing on the Galbaldy β’s arms unit is even better than most the RG and the MG kits to date. We are really that impressed by the level of detail there.

Looking at the possibilities, it does seem like it is looking pretty awesome this
10522260b9
here I thought the HG’s would never be able to do that, and here is an HG kit that just proved me wrong

This is one kit that we would love to see more of when it’s out in the market because honestly, this is one HGUC kit that we are honestly impressed with.

Though, we do have to say this, The Galbaldy really do look like a more fit version of the Gelgoog. It does make us wonder, what weight loss programme that it went through to look that slim…..

RE1/100 XM-07 Vigina-Ghina (RE100)

RE1/100 XM-07 Vigina-Ghina (RE100)

Probably one of the best looking RE/100 kit out there with the hardest name to say out loud in public.

Next on the list is a kit that we covered back in our 37th episode of Let’s Talk Gunpla and it is a kit that we are looking forward to seeing more of. Yes the RE/100 XM-07 Vigina-Ghina.

Lo, behold now we finally have a release date and an actual price for the kit!

Really, this is one that is a long time coming. We have been hoping and praying to the great gunpla god to give us more F91 kits and he has heeded our prayers and finally gave us the awesome Vigina-Ghina. That is some concrete proof there that Gunpla God exists, take that gunpla atheists.

10522261b6
The level of detail here is just really impressive.

Anyways getting back talking about the kit itself. The RE/100 Vigina-Ghina has always been an MS that we have been waiting to see remade into the modern time when we saw the promotional stills, we really can’t help to smile and be excited about this RE/100 kit. The RE/100 Vigina-Ghina is really one awesome looking kit, with its Crossbone Vanguard colors and the insignia on its forehead, this is really one kit that we are really starting to really fall in love with. It would really break our hearts if this turns out to be crap.

Also, I would say that this is definitely one RE/100 kit that comes with some pretty interesting conventional weapons, but the thing that really gets us for this kit is really that awesome looking backpack. Honestly though it looks fuckin’ awesome as hell that it does remind us of the Crossbone Gundam’s Backpack system. Though it does make us wonder if it comes with that awesome beam flag thingy or will that come as a P-Bandai exclusive attachment….hmmm

10522261b8
Goddamn that is one sexy back

Regardless, we are looking forward to see more of the RE100 Vigina-Ghina and am really looking forward to seeing more of it soon!

Speaking of P-Bandai before, it does make us wonder if the EFSF version of the Vigina-Gina is planned for release aswell…. Honestly though, we wouldn’t be surprised if it is.

Bandai do try to prove us wrong on this.

MG 1/100 F91 Gundam F91 Ver.2.0 (MG)

Really a kit that we didn’t expect to see more of…..

Finally, we get to the MG Ver.2.0 announcement that we never expected to see re-released so close to the former Ver.1.0 release. When we saw this announced back in the Next Gunpla Expo, we don’t know what to feel about it.

The reason being is that, we don’t really feel like the MG F91 needed a revamp. It is already awesome as it is, honestly. We felt that there are many other MG kits that we feel deserves a Ver.2.0 re-release like the Gundam GP series or the MG Gundam ALEX (or the Kamfper). Not the F91 to be honest.

Regardless of what we feel about it, we can’t deny that this version does get a lot of pretty sweet upgrades over the 1.0. like better head transforming system, better cockpit area, a gold inner frame on the body part and not to mention an awesome LED system that is able to illuminate not just the head but the whole body area and the veneers at the backpack system.

10522238b6
A better cockpit design as versus the previous one
10522238b9
Ooh shiny
10522238b10
ooooh shiner
10522238b12
Really wondering how this would work in IRL
10522238b13
Gold parts in the leg section? This I really gotta see.

Yes, we have to admit the Ver.2.0 does look pretty awesome in that sense and we do like what bandai did for the F91 Ver.2.0 but even with all that awesome upgrades we still don’t believe that the F91 needed a Ver.2.0. the old one is still good enough for the current gen. Instead, we felt Bandai should give us an updated version of the GP series instead. I would really love to get the GP02 MG Ver.2.0.

Or any other F91 MS’s into an MG kit. Give us that instead bandai.

With that ends our 43rd episode of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. What do you guys think of the current Retail announcements? Is there anything that catches your fancy? We realised that we aren’t covering the new SD Silhouette series, oh yes, the reason being is that we are still reading into it and honestly, we still don’t know a whole lot about that new series, but we will cover it as soon as we know more of the new SD line! Though we can say now it does look awesome. Anyways, we do want to hear of your thoughts of this round’s retail announcements! We always look forward in reading and responding to your comments and thoughts on the announcements and as well to this post!

We will be back with more Let’s Talk Gunpla Segment on the next coming Wednesday and we will be back as well this Sunday with the MG Sazabi Ver.K.A! We are really looking forward to that and we hope you are aswell! 😀

As ever please do leave us a like if you enjoyed this article, as well do give us some feedback and comment if you think we would be able to improve further in making sure that we can give you better content in the future! 1. Happy anniversary! Here’s to more!

I love the Vigna Ghina and I think It greatly deserves the kit it’ll get. MG F91 2.0 is a nice addition and the gold parts seem nice, but tbh I’m probably still going to get the 1.0 and just buy both, why not?

HG Galbaldy Beta has me really hyped, and I’m super glad he’s getting a kit.

    1. Thanks, man! may we have more awesome posts ahead! 😀

Oh yes, the Galbaldy beta is really something of a surprise for us here. We didn’t really expect it to be looking that good.

Yeah, I do like the F91’s new look but I’d really prefer it Bandai focus on giving us something new and exciting instead like the Barbatos MG or if they wanted to make an MG 2.0 make the GP 02 instead. I really wanted a GP02 with better molds and inner frame..

Though the Vigina Ghina is really a no-brainer for all of us here, we are so getting that one for sure. Though it would be more awesome if Bandai gave us the MG variant instead. haha.
