It looks like P-Bandai does have a lot to offer here.
HELLO! We are back!
In today’s 460th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla, we will be taking the time to talk about P-Bandai’s latest Gunpla release announcement! To be precise, we’ll be taking the time to talk about last week’s Gunpla announcement.
Yes, since we did go off last weekend, it’s only fair we cover this in today’s segment before we move on to the actual P-Bandai’s latest Gunpla release announcement.
So, without further ado. Let us get into it, shall we?
HG 1/144 XVX-016 Gundam Aerial [Permet Score 6 Ver.] (HGTWFM)

Release Date: July 2023
Estimated price: JPY 2,200 (MYR RM 73.47* / USD $ 16.70* / EUR € 15.29*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

We wanted to start by saying that it sucks that we missed the preorder for this version of the HGTWFM Aerial.
You might be thinking after you read the sentence above, weren’t we disappointed by the little teaser we saw of this version on the last post that we talked about it?
Yes, that is correct. We were.
However, after seeing the P-Bandai’s recent promotional materials on this kit in detail, we are now very interested in getting one.
So, what made us change our minds on this?

For one, we learned that we are getting more than expected. Technically, we are getting the same-ish HGTWFM Aerial kit. However, from the latest promotional materials we see here, it also looks like we are getting a P-Bandai exclusive The Witch From Mercury display base plate with this kit.
And we know what you’re thinking, and no, the base plate isn’t the only reason we are interested in getting this. It’s a plus point, yes. But not the main reason why we’re so interested in getting this version.
The main reason why we’re interested in this version now is after we see its new color scheme. Even though we did say that this is ‘technically’ the same HGTWFM Aerial, this version is not ‘technically’ the same as the retail version. Yes, admittedly, it has mostly the same parts, and yes, it still builds like the standard HGTWFM Aerial, but that is where the similarities end.

Because, unlike its retail version, the HGTWFM Aerial Permet Score 6’s blue and yellow bits come in the metallic coated color scheme. But honestly, looking at the promotional materials, we do not think the metallic colors are limited to only yellow and blue bits. From what we can see, it is clear that the whole thing is in the metallic coating color scheme. Regardless of whether the metallic coat covers the entire kit or only the blue and yellow bits, we can all agree that this change makes this P-Bandai version of the HGTWFM Aerial thing look even more fantastic when compared to the standard retail version.
Also, we learned that P-Bandai made changes to the sticker parts (which we expected), and it does look like the sticker bits fit the overall look of the HGTWFM Aerial Permet Score look. But the thing that we didn’t expect them to do is to make the pre-prepared clear colored premet score activation bit also comes in blue metallic color, which we admit looked fantastic.

Yes, we have changed our tune ever since we saw it last. It is clear now that we’re excited about getting our hands on this version of the HGTWFM Aerial. But we mentioned at the start of this blog post we’re aware that we are late to the party, so the only way to get this is to wait until P-Bandai relists it on their shopee page again.
Let’s hope it’s not a long wait.

And that concludes our 460th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. It’s nice to be back writing again, and pleasantly surprised at the P-Bandai’s version of the HGTWFM Aerial. Looking back at when we heard about this kit finally getting an official release date. We, at first, have no expectations of it.
So, it is nice to see that P-Bandai is making a real effort to make it worthwhile for fans of the Aerial to get this version of the HGTWFM Aerial and prove us wrong.
Anyways. We’ll be back again next Saturday (hopefully) with a new blog post. Do look forward to that!
