Finally, we get all Prologue MS designs in Gunpla form.
HELLO! We are back!
In today’s 532nd edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we’ll discuss some of P-Bandai’s latest Gunpla release announcements. Interestingly, we’re getting new HGTWFM kits. Yes, Bandai still has some kits in store for this series, but surprisingly, in a move that we half expected, they finally decided to release the last two MS designs from the prologue.
So, without further ado. Let us get into it, shall we?
HG 1/144 XGF-01 Gundam Lfrith Pre-Production Model (HGTWFM)

Release Date: May 2024
Estimated price: JPY 2,420 (MYR 76.70* / USD 16.11* / EUR 14.88*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

Honestly? We think it is about time that Bandai gave us this version of the Lfrith. The funny thing is that we already expected P-Bandai would be the one to pick this one up since the retail side stopped at only releasing two of the MS designs from the Witches Prologue in Gunpla form.
But even that said, we hoped P-Bandai would capitalize on the hype and release it back when the show is ongoing, not when it’s all over.
But regardless, we’re still glad that we finally got this version.

So, what are we getting in this P-Bandai version of the HGTWFM Lfrith?
Basically, we are getting an HG Lfrith in a blue/white color scheme, a new backpack with round gundbits in it, and a new badass beam Rifle.
Yes, you get a lot more of the same and, at the same time, a lot of new things.
So let’s talk about the new bits we’re getting here first, shall we? Honestly? We always felt that the backpack unit for this kit looked cool AF when we first saw it in the Witches Prologue, and from the looks of it, P-Bandai really did a fantastic job translating it into Gunpla.

Why do we say this?
Well, take a moment to look at its Backpack unit because despite it being just another prologue HGTWFM Lfrith kit, we’re impressed by the level of detail you’re getting here. Not to mention, P-Bandai also did a great job on the HGTWFM Lfrith Pre-Production beam rifle. It might have a much more conversational look, but it is not one that we call boring. We would even go as far as to say that the HGTWFM Lfrith Pre-Production’s beam rifle is the best-looking handheld beam rifle in the series.
For the bits this version inherited from the HGTWFM Lfrith? If you have built the retail version, we believe the experience building this version will be mostly the same. We say ‘mostly’ here because the kit still gets a lot of new exciting bits to work on. Plus, since P-Bandai based the HGTWFM Lfrith Pre-Production on an excellent HG kit, we know this will be one of those Premium HG kits most people wouldn’t mind getting.

We’re excited about this upcoming release, and seeing how much fun we had building the standard version, we know that this would be one that we would have a lot of fun building as well.
HG 1/144 CCP-069 Heingra (HGTWFM)

Release Date: May 2024
Estimated price: JPY 1,980 (MYR 62.75* / USD 13.18* / EUR 12.17*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

We admit that out of all the MS designs from the Witch from Mercury series, this is the only one we didn’t remember until we rewatched the prologue again.
Maybe it’s because the Heingra looked too similar to the Heindree.
So maybe that is why we don’t remember it all that much. Regardless, it’s nice that Bandai didn’t forget about the Heingra and decided to release this alongside the HGTWFM Lfrith Pre-Production.
So then, what do we think of this kit?

Well, just like how we opened this bit, it’s clear that the HGTWFM Heingra looked too similar to the HGTWFM Heindree. But it’s not bad since we know they’re basing the P-Bandai version on a decent HGTWFM kit.
But you might be wondering, so what changes P-Bandai made to this version over the retail version? Well, from what we can see, quite a lot.
Despite looking almost like the HGTWFM Heindree, there are a lot of new changes P-Bandai made to the kit. For instance, you get a new chest and head unit design. Also, this version gets a new backpack unit, new weapons, and one minor change to the front side of the waist armor. However, it still inherited the HGTWFM Heindree’s joint system, so if you’re familiar with how it works, expect to get the same level of articulation in the upcoming P-Bandai HGTWFM Heingra.

Oh, it also gets a brown/white color scheme combo, which does look ok here.
In conclusion, the HGTWFM Heingra looks like a decent HGTWFM kit to us, but it is one of those kits that we aren’t sure about since none of us have built the HGTWFM Heindree. But from what we heard, the HGTWFM Heindree is a decent kit, and most who have worked on it love working on one. And that is enough to convince us to get this kit alongside the HGTWFM Lfrith Pre-Production kit.
Too bad the preorder closed within seconds, even before we managed to secure any of them.

And that concludes our 532nd edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. By the way, we do want to take the time to apologize for missing our regular posting schedule for last Thursday and Saturday and also for not posting any updates. Kimi has been sick recently and struggled to finish the final edits or do anything last week.
Even though he hasn’t fully recovered, at the very least, he finished with the final edits for this week’s segment.
We’re not sure if, this Saturday, we’ll have a new blog post, but we’ll keep you updated if there are any changes to his condition.
Anyways.
We’ll be back this Saturday (hopefully if all goes well) or next Thursday with a new blog post. So do look forward to it!
