A head unit as a weapon attachment, that doesn’t sound insane at all

HELLO! We are back!

In today’s 136th edition of Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will be today be finally be taking a closer look at some of the new release announcements that was made by the P-Bandai side. Seeing that we are looking at alot of very interesting announcements from the P-Bandai side this week, so instead of covering all in a single day, we will be splitting the segment to two.

Today we will be talking about 2 of the ones from the P-Bandai side that we think to be, really interesting to talk about.

So without further ado let us get into it, shall we?

This might be the nicest looking Gun EZ variant that we have seen coming as a Gunpla form

This is an interesting one because out of all the RE100 releases coming from this line up this is the only one from this line up that has been getting alot of love from the P-Bandai side.

In a very short period of time, we have seen P-Bandai release different variants of the RE100 Gun EZ’s like the RE100 Gunblaster and the RE100 Gun EZ Desert Variant. We never knew that we would be seeing another variant of the RE100 Gun EZ so soon. Although we here are quite glad to see them releasing more variants of the V Gundam MSV kits, we here really actually would prefer for them to redirect the resources that they have in creating these into creating gunplas based on the Zanscare Empire’s MS.

Anyways enough of that, let us now talk about this particular P-Bandai RE100 Gun EZ variant, shall we?

There were two things that we noticed immediately here with this particular variant of the Gun Ez, one is the absence of the shoulder mounted-storage/launcher and another thing that we noticed here, is the awesome white color scheme of the Prototype version.

The most gundam looking Gun EZ variant that we’ve seen

We here do find that the lack of the shoulder mounted-storage/launcher does make this version fo the GunEZ looked alot different compared to the final version that we see for the retail side. This might be the one variant of the Gun EZ that actually looks more like the V Gundam that it was based on, more than the final production version.

Not to mention here as well we here think that the whole white color scheme does fit in well with making this RE100 kit looked like something that is still in the trial phase, although looking at it does make us here wonder if they as well included the badass decals that we have seen on the V Gundam MSV Illustrations. It would be really nice to have that as well.

This might be one of the best looking P-Bandai RE100 Gun EZ yet.

But even with the changes that we see here, fundamentally this is the same RE100 Gun EZ that you get with the retail version. So to those that have some experience with the Retail version will find this to be the same kit, just with less stuff and as well comes in a different color.

Even with that said, we do admit that we are a fan of this version and wouldn’t mind getting it. Although, we do have a feeling that getting this might be a tall order for us because even up until today we haven’t seen any retailer carrying any of the P-Bandai Gun EZ variants over on our shores.

Which is quite frustrating to know, but it is one that we are so used to by now.

A Rick-Dias with a Gundam head

Out of the many things that we would think that would be a suitable attachment on a weapon, never we here would imagine putting another Gunpla’s head on it. Which is why this one HG really stands out from the rest of the other P-Bandai releases. Because this might be the first gunpla that we see that actually makes full use of the extra parts that was included with the kit.

Although we do admit that seeing the Rick Dias head attached to that weapon does look quite disturbing to see. But we really can’t deny the fact that it is actually is a pretty good kitbash idea.

However, interesting some of the concepts that we see with the HGBD Build Gamma Gundam might be. It is not like the rest of the kit is as interesting as what we see on its weapon. Because at most parts the HGBD Build Gamma is just basically just a recolored version of the previously released HGUC Rick-Dias.

Is this really just a recolored version of the HGUC Rick-Dias

Although calling it just recolored version of the HGUC Rick-Dias might that accurate. It would be more accurate to say this is an HGUC Rick-Dias Ver.2.0. Why did we come to this conclusion? Well, that is because as we take a look closely it does seem to us that there are some changes that was made to the old HGUC Rick-Dias’s frame and we as well see some major improvements that was made to its articulation as well.

The changes that was made here was so substantial, that some of the characteristics that you would be expecting to experience with this if you have worked on the Rick Dias before seem to be nonexistent here. Its like Bandai might be hinting of the possibility of us seeing the HGUC Rick-Dias Ver.2.0 soon.

1000139824_9
All the new modifications that was made to the HGUC Rick-Dias’s joints

For the matter of a fact, looking at how the kit does have the head attached to the weapon, we can imagine that you still can use the head to attach it to the body without any issues. So we imagined it to be quite possible for one to convert this into the normal Rick-Dias and since it is mostly white-based, I don’t think its that hard to recolor this to the normal Rick-Dias color scheme.

Besides the changes made to the joints and the color, we do as well see that the HGBD Build Gamma Gundam comes with its own unique Gundam style head unit and a backpack unit that was designed to look like the Gundam MK-II’s shield. But all of that changes was dwarfed by that badass beam cannon with Rick-Dias head as an attachment that the HGBD Gamma Gundam has.

We really don’t know who was insane enough to come up with this kind of design. But whoever that person might be, we all here think that person deserves a raise, because all of us here LOVED the weapons design for the HGBD Build Gamma Gundam.

This is the kind of crazy that we like to see more of.

Just like the previously talked about RE Gun EZ, this kit is one of those HG P-Bandai kits that we are finding it hard to justify not getting it. Because the changes made here are so significant that we feel that it would really be a shame if we didn’t get it. Plus it probably gives us an idea on how the upcoming HGUC Rick-Dias would be in the near future.

1000139824_7
This is definitely going into our P-Bandai must get’s list for 2020

We really have a strong feeling that this kit is most definitely going to be a blast to build. Hopefully, we would be lucky enough to get this bad boi next year.

With that concludes today’s 136th  edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment! What do you think of these P-Bandai release announcements? Are you looking forward to these upcoming P-Bandai kit releases? Looking at this it does become immediately clear to us that we will be looking at another insane year of gunpla releases, and it is nice to see that we are really going into the year quite strong this time around.

To know that we still have more interesting P-Bandai kits to talk about does make us look forward to next week.
