This is the first time that we see RG’s release announcements which are not interesting to us here
HELLO! We are back!
In today’s 168th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will be taking a look at some of the latest P-Bandai news that was made last week and one today. Yes, we are aware with the fact that we still haven’t finished covering all the retail news just yet. But admittedly that all these new P-Bandai releases are a bit hard to ignore since there is one release here that we have been looking forward to see more of ever since it was revealed to us earlier this year.
So without further ado, let us immediately get into it, shall we?
HG 1/144 OZX-GU01A Gundam Geminass 01 (HGAC)

Release Date: 2020/05
Estimated price: JPY 2,200* (MYR RM 82.78* / USD $ 20.03* / EUR € 18.34*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the circumstances

FINALLY!
We have the release date for the HGAC Geminass 01! Out of all the P-Bandai kits that was revealed to us back in the Gunpla Next Expo a few weeks back, this was the one that we feel that ALOT of people (including us of course) been waiting for to see more of. Now after seeing more of it we can finally say that our patience was rewarded here.
Why?
Well, because when we look at the HGAC Germinass 01, it looks as if we are looking at P-Bandai’s answer to the Retail side’s excellent HGUC Moon Gundam. The HGAC Geminass 01 just like its HGUC Moon counterpart is looking to be one of the MOST detailed HGAC kits that we have seen to date.

The level of detail seen on the HGAC Geminass 01 is something that if we were to put simply, is just insane. The HGAC Geminass 01 looked so detailed up to a point that we just feel that it doesn’t look like an HG kit anymore, it looked more like an RG kit. Which admittedly is a similar feeling that we have when we saw the HGUC Moon for the first time.
Hence why we say that the HGAC Geminass 01 is P-Bandai’s answer to the retails HGUC Moon.

However, by making the HGAC Geminass 01 to be insanely detailed it kind of makes this HGAC kit to be the odd one out to the rest of the HGAC line-up. Since the rest of the HGAC Retail releases doesn’t actually look THAT detailed. Which funnily enough is a characteristic that is as well quite similar to the HGUC Moon as well.
Regardless, we do think that P-Bandai did a pretty good job here with the overall design of the HGAC Geminass 01! From the awesome tri-color scheme that was used here to the overall design and its insanely detailed look of this badass HGAC kit. We are all here are REALLY looking forward to this one, and eventhough it might be on the more expensive bit but just like the MG Deathscythe Rousette, we do think the money spent for this kit is worth blowing all your hard-earned cash on.

RG 1/144 OZ-00MS Tallgeese (TV Anime color Version)(RG)

Release Date: 2020/06
Estimated price: JPY 2,750* (MYR RM 103.48* / USD $ 25.04* / EUR € 22.93*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the circumstances

When this version was announced recently, we were at first finding ourselves to be a bit baffled by it. Because we thought to ourselves at the time, “Eh, wasn’t the one that we get for the retail side IS the TV version?”.
We were wrong of course because we here have forgotten that the RG Tallgeese that we got for the retail side was actually based on the New Mobile Report: Endless Waltz novels version which was understandably is the more popular adaptation of the Wing series in Japan.
Which may explain why we are seeing the TV version of the Tallgeese announced. However, it is quite strange to us here on why they decided to have this released as a P-Bandai release? Yes, we get it that the Novel version is the more popular one amongst the Japanese, which is why the retail version was based on the novel version. However, the anime version is the one that most fans of the series outside of Japan are more familiar with, yes we don’t mind not getting the TV version released as retail but at the very least give the fans of the anime version of the Tallgeese a Gundam Base release. So at the very least, we can ‘somewhat’ not have to worry about it being released as a limited EXPENSIVE P-Bandai release and it would be a good motivation for the fans of the series to make the pilgrimage to the Gundam holy land (or anywhere that has the Gundam base shop located in their country).

Anyways, with that bit out of the way. So what do we all here think of this variant of the Tallgeese RG kit?
Well, from what we are seeing here the biggest change that we can see here is obviously seen on the P-Bandai versions color scheme. Gone the shiny white/dark grey of the retail version which was replaced with the flat white/black color scheme for the P-Bandai (or the TV version). Oh before we forget, they as well replaced the retail RG Tallgeese’s Shield unit to the more familiar TV version look. All in all the P-Bandai version is technically the same RG Tallgeese kit, so we are not expecting this to be any different from the retail version.
But with that said, we do admit that it looked really cool, especially when you have all the awesome TV Decals up on the P-Bandai version. It is clear to us that this particular RG kit was made for the anime fans since there isn’t a lot that we see here that would entice a non-fan (like us) into getting this version.

Unless if you are looking for something entirely different, that is.
RG 1/144 ZGMF-X42S Destiny Gundam [Titanium Finish] (RG)

Release Date: 2020/06
Estimated price: JPY 7,150* (MYR RM 269.04* / USD $ 65.11* / EUR € 59.61*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the circumstances

This is a piece of P-Bandai news that we all here find to be quite amusing. Because we here never have imagined that the RG Destiny would still be seeing a release in 2020 as a P-Bandai release.
For a Gunpla kit that was released back in 2013 and has already seen a P-Bandai release before(the deactivated Destiny Gundam), we thought that by now Bandai wouldn’t be as interested in releasing another updated version of the RG Destiny. But it seems again that we found Bandai to just enjoy shattering our expectations at this point in time.
Anyways, from what we can see here, this is clear to us that from what we are seeing here that this RG kit is basically just the same RG Destiny with the same color scheme but obviously was given a tinge of shiny added to the looks. Well, to be more precise it wasn’t just a ‘tinge of shiny’ its more like it was given a bucketload of it.

But even with that said, we here do admit that the new titanium look of this variant of the RG Destiny does look really nice. In fact, we all here really think that it is prolly the best looking version out of all the existing RG Destiny variants to date.
However, even though the kit does look quite good to us, admittedly we are not as interested in getting it. Why? Well, the reason being is because it is basically its just the same RG Destiny with not thing new and what’s more if my memories serve me well, the nubs that you encounter here are going to be alot more tricky to deal since, well…look at it.

What’s more for the insane asking price of this version, one would at the very least expect P-Bandai to include in the effect pack in with the Titanium version of the RG Destiny, to make the prospect of getting this interesting to hardcore Destiny fans like us. But no they still decided to sell the effect packs separately, which is a move that we here find to be quite silly.
We rather spend the money into getting the effect pack for out existing RG Destiny than to spend it on another same-ish variant of the RG Destiny.

With that concludes today’s 168th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment! What do you think of these awesome P-Bandai release announcements? Are you looking forward to all of these awesome upcoming P-Bandai kits? Although the Gunpla news line up for this week is not the strongest that we have seen coming from the P-Bandai side. But we are glad that at the very least that we finally get to see more of the HGAC Germinass 01 this time around.

Ehmmm , i’m sure you was eager to finish this article but it’s Geminass Gundam . Not many people remember old manga series or HG but it’s pretty cool design . Also , if you have in your possesion old HG you should noticed amount of details back then made by Bandai . It was phenomenal.

Aaah I see, maybe because most of us here and most builders that we are aquainted were quite excited for the HGAC Germinass.
For us, we were excited for this because we are looking forward to how the new kit would translate to the modern age. Will P-Bandai make this to be as good as the Moon or will this be just a beautiful dissapointment?
Because if they were to make the no grade version to be as good as it was, we do wonder what P-Bandai would do to the modern version and that thought excites us here.
