Let’s Talk Gunpla Vol.195

Some PBandai news to talk about before Eid arrives

Hello! We are back!

In Today’s 195th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will be again will be taking a closer look at one of the new P-Bandai announcement that was made recently, a kit from the P-Bandai’s MG GWBC line up that we here find to be quite interesting.

Mainly since it is based on another existing P-Bandai MG GWBC kit, the Qubeley Damned.

So without further ado, let us get into it, shall we?

MG 1/100 Qubeley Amberil (MG)

MG 1/100 Qubeley Amberil (MG)

Release Date: 2020/08

Estimated price: JPY 5,940* (MYR RM 239.79* / USD $ 55.17* / EUR € 50.26*)

*The price is subject to change, depending on the circumstances

This was one of those kits that we kind of half expected it to be released. One of the main reasons for that is, we kind of have a strong suspicion that P-Bandai just finding any reason to release another version of the Qubeley Damned in Haman’s color scheme. Even though we are not familiar at all with the Gundam Build Divers GIMM and BALL’S World Challenge Series side storyline, but this is an entry that we felt was made for commercial reasons, mostly.

But obviously, there are some changes was made to this version to make the prospect of getting this version to be appealing to both the ones that have already gotten the Qubeley Damned and for those that haven’t gotten the Qubeley Damned. The first notable change and obvious change that THE mg Qubeley Amberil was given the gloss injected parts treatment. This does make the kit look ALOT more appealing than its Damned counterpart and admittedly we do think the shiny-ness fits well with the color scheme of the Qubeley Amberil.

Speaking of the color scheme of the Qubeley Amberil, we do feel like the ‘Haman colors’ color scheme here looks better on the Damned repurposed parts then the Qubeley Damned own color scheme. This particular change that we see here might be enough to attract even more people to be interested in getting Qubeley Amberil, especially fans of Haman Karn.

Although the one that we here do find to be one of the most interesting bits of the kit is probably its decals section. Because we do think that the Qubeley Amberil decals look really badass here. We here loved the design of the decals, and what’s more, we as well, liked the fact that they as well made the decals look as shiny as the rest of the kit, which we admit is something that we were quite impressed by.

Regardless it is technically we think this is the same kit as the Qubeley Damned so all the good and the bad that one might have experience with the kit before will see a return to form in this version as well. That is if they made changes to improve some of it, which we honestly kind of doubt that they will.

Because one has to remember, this is P-Bandai that we are talking about here. They like to make as much money as they can with little effort sometimes.

With that concludes today’s 195th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment! What do you think of this particular P-Bandai Gunpla release announcements? Are you looking forward to this P-Bandai Gunpla releases? To be honest, we are quite surprised to see Bandai still releasing new kits under the MG GWBC lineup.

We thought Hyakushiki Crash is the last release that we would see under this particular line up. We are really glad to see P-Bandai still have something under their sleeves still.

Eventhough it is a same-ish release. haha.
