In today’s 306th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will be taking a look at the HUGE Gundam Breaker BATTLELOUGE Gunpla release announcements. But since it is a pretty huge announcement, as usual, we will dedicate a few blog posts to cover all of them.
But we will first cover the ones that we all here are most excited about in today’s post! So without further ado, let us get into it, shall we?

The Helios the desty with an upside down Freedom wing unit and Gundam X’s body and Double x’s moon beam cannons.
Let’s start today’s segment by talking about the one gunpla kit that we’re all here a fan of, the HGGBB Gundam Helios.
Why?
Well, it’s because they designed the HGGBB Helios based on our favorite SEED Destiny MS, the Destiny Gundam. But that is not the only thing that got us excited about it because there is the fact that they also combined the three best things from other MS into this.
The three MS’s in question here is the Freedom Gundam, the Gundam x, and the Gundam Double X. So what you end up having is a beautiful mix of two HGCE and two HGAW parts into one Gunpla kit.
the best of HGCE and HGAW combined into one
The one thing that we’re most surprised about the HGGBB Helios here is just how well all of these different parts come together in one Gunpla kit. Although, if we were, to be honest? Since we have no experience with both the HGAW Gundam X and the HGAW Gundam Double X, we can’t tell if there are some modifications needed to make the parts fit or not. But what we can say here after spending time staring at it is that they did make it look good regardless.
What’s more, they even gave it a pretty badass color scheme too!
Yes, we all here honestly think that the color combination of blue, red, green, yellow, and white does go well with the kit overall. It looked so good, in fact, that we here do think that this is one of the best color combinations that you can give to an MS.
We know that it looked badass as heck, but we also know that it ain’t going to come lighted like this. but if does, that is dope as heck. But no we know that it ain’t going to come like this.
Not to mention, we liked it so much that we all made a PO of this kit already.
But the funny thing is that this isn’t the only SEED Destiny MS that got a make-over.
HG 1/144 Perfect Strike Freedom Gundam (HGGBB)
HG 1/144 Perfect Strike Freedom Gundam (HGGBB)
Release Date: December 2021

The Perfect Strike Freedom
Yes, from what you can see here, even Strike Freedom got a new make-over. What’s more, they even did a pretty goddamn good job at it too!
Because, to be honest? Even though we were never a fan of the original Strike Freedom (like we stated here many times in the blog), but really this is a strike freedom variant that we would like to have.
You might be thinking, what made us change our stance on getting this variant of the Strike freedom after seeing this HGGBB kit?
Well, that is because, just like the HGGBB Helios that we talked about, this too is a kit that combines many of the good things from other kits. But instead of repurposing parts from different Gundam series, the HGGBB Perfect Strike Freedom instead decided to reuse all of its bits from the same SEED Series.
somehow this looks even more intimidating than the standard Strike freedom
Well, to be precise, it’s a kit that combines all the best bit of the HGCE Strike, the HGCE Freedom, and the HGCE Strike Freedom all into one HGGBB kit package.
But the thing that made us really like this kit is that they modified and improved on the Strike Freedom wing part and made it look like a Strike Gundam’s Striker pack backpack unit. They even went as far as to add in the Striker pack verniers to make this look more like a proper striker pack. What’s more, they also redesigned some elements of the other striker pack, like the Launcher Strike and the Sword Strike packs, to fit in with the look of this Perfect Strike Freedom Gundam look.
But not content by just redesigning the backpack unit and some of the striker packs, they even gave the whole thing a Strike Gundam color scheme treatment.
That looks glorious
We really think that this kit really is the perfect representation of what an actual perfect, Perfect Strike Freedom Gundam would look like here if Kira has a had in the design of the Strike Freedom Gundam. It’s sad to know now that this isn’t canon.
And yes, just like the HGGBB Helios, we preordered this as well.
HG 1/144 Gundam Barbatauros (HGGBB)
HG 1/144 Barbatauros (HGGBB)
Release Date: January 2022
Estimated price: JPY 2,420 (MYR RM 90.82* / USD $ 21.83* / EUR € 18.30*)

A new barbie with 4 legs
With the Gundam Build series, we have seen a lot of pretty rad MS redesigns. But so far, we haven’t seen any of the IBO kits getting radical MS redesigns up until today.
Although we are now finally getting an INSANE IBO MS redesign but funnily enough, the Barbatauros is not an insane MS design from the Gundam Build series, though. But instead, we are getting it from the Gundam Breaker Battlelouge series.
And my god, they really went all out insane with the redesign of the HG IBO Barbatos here. Well, that’s because they turned one of the badass MS from the IBO series and gave it another set of legs. Bandai also went as far to redesign the whole look to make it look like a combination of the Deathscythe and barbatos all into one MS design.
We are quite impressed by Bandai’s ability to make an already intimidating MS look even more intimidating with 4 legs.
But as we spend time with it, does it actually have some HGAC Deathscythe DNA in it? To be honest, though? No. Because from what we can see here, the parts still looked like bits from the original HGIBO Barbatos and the HGIBO Barbatos Lupus Rex. The only thing that looks remotely taken from the Deathscythe here is really the looks. Nothing more.
But we are honestly surprised to see that many of the parts come from the original Barbie and the Barbie Lupus Rex variant. And they modified it enough to make it almost unrecognizable.
We are really impressed by the level of work they put in here to make this look badass.
pretty sure this could beat the barbatos
That is why, just like the other two kits that we talked about, this is one of those HGGBB kits that we placed a preorder for here.
With that concludes our 306th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment for today. Honestly, what impressive lineup kits that we’ve seen so far coming from the Gundam Breaker Battlelouge series!
Even though the series itself hasn’t started airing, but all of these badass kit lineups are making us really excited to see what they have in store for all of us here.
But best of all, there is still a lot more to talk about here. In which we will continue on this coming Saturday’s (hopefully) post. So, please do look forward to that!
