Let’s Talk Gunpla Vol.431

Premium French

HELLO! We are back!

In today’s 431st edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will look at another P-Bandai release announcement made alongside the RG Destiny Impulse. One that we have never imagined Bandai would release as a Premium release.

So, without further ado. Let us get into it, shall we?

HG 1/144 GF13-009NF Gundam Rose (HGFC)

Release Date: February 2023
Estimated price: JPY 2,915 (MYR RM 93.89* / USD $ 21.01* / EUR € 20.17*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

Out of all the mainline HG’s to get the premium release, the Gundam Rose isn’t the one we expect to see getting that P-Bandai treatment, especially considering that more people are starting to warm up to the G Gundam series.

It’s even more frustrating to see that P-Bandai gives this the best treatment that a Premium HGFC kit could get. From what we can see here, the upcoming HGFC Rose Gundam articulation system looks as good as the one we see on the HGFC God Gundam. The color accuracy for the HGFC Rose Gundam parts is one of the best we’ve seen on a mainline HG kit. Best of all is the HGFC Gundam Rose’s gimmicks.

Because honestly, most of us admit that we are impressed by the HGFC Gundam Rose’s rose bits overall design and what it can do in this HGFC form, especially when we saw that the cape/rose bit launcher could be detached and works as a part of Gundam Rose’s bit system.

Although, we are sure we didn’t see the Gundam Rose do this in the anime. But apparently, this feature of the Rose Gundam is canon in the manga serialization of the G Gundam series.

So, yeah, this is a manga gimmick.

But even with that said, we are still impressed by it, and we are glad to see that P-Bandai even went as far as to include the necessary accessories in this release to make it easier for us to recreate the head-turning feature in Gunpla form.

Clearly, you can see that we are impressed by this, and the HGFC Gundam Rose will be one of those Gunpla releases we are sure that everyone would look forward to getting.

However, it’s disappointing that P-Bandai locked this badass HGFC kit as a premium release when we feel it would benefit Bandai more if the HGFC Gundam Rose gets a retail release.

But at the very least, we know where the future HGFC will be heading from today onwards.

And that concludes our 431st edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment for today. An exciting but very disappointing release announcement from P-Bandai this time around. We were expecting to see the HGFC Gundam Rose getting that Retail treatment, but from the looks of it, maybe, because the HGFC series didn’t do well enough for the retail side to justify releasing new kits under their banner.

But at the very least, we know that the rest of the shuffle alliance will get the Gunpla treatment they deserve. Albeit as a premium release, unfortunately.

Anyways, we’ll be back again next Thursday (hopefully) with a new blog post. So, please do look forward to that!
