Let’s Talk Gunpla Vol.543

The Two Zeta Monsters in Gunpla form

HELLO! We are back!

In today’s 543rd edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we’ll take a step back and discuss some of the Hyper Plamo fest reveals we didn’t discuss last time.

Interestingly, we learned we are getting two kits from the Zeta series we never imagined seeing in 2024.

So, without further ado. Let us get into it, shall we?

The Rumor Mill: HG 1/144 MRX-010 Psycho Gundam Mk.II (HGUC)

Release Date: Late 2024*
Speculated price: MYR 250 – 500* ( USD 52.41 – 104.82* / EUR 49.02 – 98.04*)
*This is purely speculation

Considering the popularity of the HGCE Destroy Gundam announcement with the Gunpla community recently, we’re not surprised to see Bandai becoming more confident about producing and announcing more big Gunpla releases.

But will this be a significant improvement from its predecessors? Or will it be more and less the same kit, just with new bits?

We can’t say much for the time being since we’re only looking at a preproduction version here. But for now, we can only say that Bandai got the HGUC Psycho Mk.II’s ‘anime looks’ right, and we’re excited to see the upcoming HGUC Psycho Mk.II in its beautiful purple/red/yellow color scheme in action.

Also, we’re speculating here; we don’t think the HGUC Psycho Gundam Mk.II would be undergoing a significant overhaul of its articulation system. We feel it would use the same system we see with the HGUC Psycho Gundam.

But we’re confident Bandai will include many beam effects parts for the HGCE Psycho Gundam Mk.II here, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if it were a pretty expensive kit. We say this because, seeing how impressed people were with all the badass beam effects that Bandai decided to include with the HGCE Destroy, it wouldn’t be surprising to see this also come included with many beam effect parts.

But regardless, we’re excited to see what Bandai has in store for us.

HG 1/144 PMX-003 Bolinoak Sammahn (HGUC)

Release Date: Late 2024*
Speculated price: MYR 50 – 100* ( USD 10.48- 20.96* / EUR 9.80 – 19.60*)
*This is purely speculation

Of the two announcements made for the Zeta series, this is the one we didn’t expect to see. But to be honest? HGUC Bolinoak Sammahn is one of those kits that deserves the Gunpla treatment.

We admit this isn’t the best-looking Gunpla out there, and its name isn’t easy to pronounce. We wouldn’t be surprised if most Gunpla builders would give this one a pass because of that.

But we admit we are more accepting of its weird looks and hard-to-pronounce name. We find this an exciting release and look forward to seeing more of this kit because it is the most exciting of the two.

Why?

Because that means Bandai would do something unique with this kit. And that thought alone excites us.

But what do you guys think of these two teasers? Are you excited for them, or will you give these two a pass? Let us know your thoughts on them.

That concludes our 543rd edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. It’s nice to finally get the chance to discuss these two exciting Gunpla teasers. But these aren’t the only ones Bandai teased; there is also one from the P-Bandai side.

But worry not. We’ll discuss that in our next blog post.

Anyways.

We’ll be back next Thursday (hopefully, as long as the laptop will not give us more headaches) with a new blog post! Please do look forward to that!
