Let’s Talk Gunpla Vol.157

Let's Talk Gunpla Vol.157

Seeing what is revealed for the retail side, for this week

HELLO! We are back!

In today’s, 157th edition of Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will continue where we left off and continue to talk about all the other interesting gunpla reveals. However, we again find ourselves not being able to cover all of it since there is alot of reveals that was made last week. So this week we will cover those that might get the retail release and next week we will cover those that might see P-Bandai release.

So with that sorted out, let us get into it, shall we?

The Rumor Mill: HG 1/144 GAT-04 Windam (HGCE)

After the tease, now we finally have a proper reveal of the mysterious HG Windam. Though after taking a much closer look at it, it does seem to us all here that this is slowly looking to be quite an interesting release because from the looks of it this is going to get the mainline HG treatment.

Why, well because frankly, it looked a little bit too detailed and too good for it to be released under the normal SEED HG line up if we were, to be honest here.

Even with that said, there is alot of things that we don’t know about the kit and frankly, we do have to wait till we get more information by Bandai when they release the official announcement for the kit to know more.

But word on the street is that the kit will see a May 2020 release and it would as well probably be sold at JPY 1,540 (MYR 58.00* / USD $ 14.19 / EUR € 12.69). Which we do admit is quite a reasonable price for a very good looking kit. This is really one kit that we can’t wait to see more of.

The Rumor Mill: HG 1/144 ZGMF-X19A Justice Gundam (HGCE)

Yes besides the Windam that we talked about last week and the RG Impulse, the HGCE Justice is another SEED Destiny kit that was revealed last week. However, unlike the HGCE Windam, this is something that we kind of already expected to see all thanks to the 2019 release of the HGBD: R’s Justice Knight Gundam.

Admittedly both the announcement of this and the Windam gunpla reveal that we are seeing now is something that we are quite glad to see because we do feel like it is an indication that Bandai will be more willing to milk release more SEED/ SEED Destiny in the near future. Heck, we might see more SEED/SEED Destiny grunt units be released too if the HGCE Windam does well in the markets.

From what we are seeing here, it is quite obvious that many of the same characteristics that we see from the HGBD: R Justice Knight Gundam will make its appearance again here on the HGCE ∞ Justice Gundam. But yet there is alot more here that still remains a mystery to all of us here, which mainly revolves mostly around how the backpack of the Justice would look and work on this HG version.

However, like the HGCE Windam, the only thing that we do have some idea of is its estimated release date and price. Because from what we can see here, Bandai is planning for a May 2020 release for the HGCE ∞ Justice and they are planning to sell the kit at JPY 2,420 (MYR 91.14* / USD $ 22.30 / EUR € 19.94). Which is a very reasonable price for something that looked to be a kit that would get decent amount stuff here.

The Rumor Mill: HG 1/144 RX-78-2 Gundam (Gundam the Origins Version) (HG Gundam the Origins)

After being pussyfooted by Bandai for so long, FINALLY, we are getting THE ACTUAL ORIGIN GRAMPS as an HG release.

But best of all it looks like we might be seeing more of the HG Origins Gramps soon enough since Bandai is planning to release this kit somewhere in March this year, and they as well already has a selling price in mind too for the HG Origins Gramps, which they are planning to sell this at JPY 2,530 (MYR 95.28* / USD $ 23.31 / EUR € 20.85).

Yes, it is going to be slightly pricier when compared to the HGCE ∞ Justice, but then again it does look like you are really getting your money’s worth here with this version of the HG Gramps. Because it is clear to us all here that you are getting alot of Gunpla here.

Although we do admit that when we all saw it the first time, we thought we are looking at an RG version, due to the insane level of detail that is seen here, and not to mention too that the decals as well kind of helped to make it look good. Only after we saw the tag only then we realized that it is the HG version.

But we wouldn’t mind getting an RG version of this.

Admittedly we are quite excited to see more of this kit, and by the looks of it, we are going to be looking at one of the most interesting HG releases this year. Although we do wonder if this is an indication that we might be seeing Sunrise producing the Amuro side of the Origins story? Because it would be really dope if that really is the case.

The Rumor Mill: HG 1/144 ASW-G-35 Gundam Marchosias (HGIBO)

This is another kit that is planned for March release of this year that we are looking forward to seeing more of. Although this a kit that we know that most of you here have seen alot of its promotional materials online. The one out of all the revealed here that we know that is coming.

Even with that said at least now, we do have a confirmation from Bandai on when it is coming at least.

Even with that said, we are reserving our thoughts of this kit as soon as we learn more of it, however, we will at least admit that this HGIBO kit is definitely going to the ‘2020 gunpla to get list’ for sure.

Oh yes, before we forget the HG Marchosias is as well will be looking to be priced the same as the HGCE Justice. Which is means that the HG Marchosias will be priced at JPY 2,420 (MYR 91.14* / USD $ 22.30 / EUR € 19.94), not a bad price when you consider how much you are getting here.

As well as the amount of promise the HG Marchosias looks to be bringing to the table. This is one HGIBO kit that we are really looking forward to seeing more of.

With that concludes today’s 157th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment! What do you think of all these Gunpla reveals? Are you looking forward to all of these kits? With that ends the Retail part of the reveals, next week we will talk about the P-Bandai side so we can hopefully move on to cover any confirmed upcoming releases from either the P-Bandai side or the retail side.

Seeing how good some of the reveals looked here, we do admit that our excitement towards the year is steadily growing even more for all these upcoming Gunpla releases.
