This week is one of the most exciting retail news that we’ve seen in months!
HELLO! We are back!
In today’s 296th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will be looking at some of the retail side’s latest Gunpla release announcements made for the Hobby Next Phase Spring 2021 event.
From what we can see here, it looks like we’d be getting some pretty exciting kits.
So, without further ado, let us get into it, shall we?

This is a properly cool MS coming from the IBO series
Honestly, with how everything is going this year, we are not surprised to see the HGIBO Gremory announced at this event. Somehow, we were somewhat expecting it.
But even with that said, we have to say the more that we see of this HGIBO kit, the more we are getting more interested in the idea of getting it.
It’s a kit that comes with a lot of pretty fascinating gimmicks. For instance, it comes with a folding armor piece that makes it look like it’s wearing a hoodie. The HGIBO Gremory also comes with detachable scythe-like weapons and a detachable small shield unit, which looks badass as heck. Best of all, it looked like a badass emo version of the Deathscythe.
To put it simply, we freaking love this thing.
Because deep down inside we are still emos ourselves
Why wouldn’t we’d be? We reckon that anyone that spends a bit of time looking at this particular release would feel the same way as we. It looks like a kit that Bandai really put everything they’ve learned from making the 30mm kits and applying it here.
Well, frankly, it’s not like they applied all they learned from the 30mm kits and applying it here. But it’s more like it’s a kit that you can understand where the 30mm kits get their inspiration for some of their releases.
Definitely can see where some 30mm kits get their inspiration from
It has been quite a while since we’ve seen an HGIBO kit that made all of us here excited. We do hope that this would be as good to build as it is to look at here.

The ultimate MG Virtue/Nadleeh release
Quite frankly, even though the HGIBO Gremory does look both exciting and fascinating. But to all of us here, the one that really stole the show is this. The MG Nadleeh/Virtue.
Because despite being already impressed that they finally made this into an MG kit, we were even more impressed to see how they managed to make it possible. We all here love that the design of the Virtue armor pieces to be easily detachable and some of the Nadleeh parts too. Also, we do like that they went as far as to design the inner parts of the detachable Virtue armor pieces. They don’t have to, but we love that Bandai’s MG Nadleeh/Virtue design team put in the effort to do so.
But best of all, even with all of that installed, we’re glad to see that the MG Virtue is not an expensive plastic brick.
Well if it does end up becoming a plastic brick, at the very least it would be a beautiful one
But then again its hard to imagine this being a stiff plastic brick
Honestly? The more time we all spend staring at this MG Nadleeh/Virtue, the more we can’t help to feel like there is a glimmer of hope that Bandai is starting to gain back some of their lost muses here. Why? Well, because this looks like one of the most exciting things that we’ve seen coming from the retail side for a long time.
Yes, it is definitely going to be one expensive kit to get, but after seeing all the awesomeness that this MG Nadleeh/Virtue is getting? We wouldn’t mind spending our money to get it.
The MG Nadleeh looks like it could shred MS and guitars to bits
With that concludes our 296th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. It has been quite a while since we’ve seen retail announcements that managed to get us all quite excited for their upcoming arrivals. Usually, we only get that from the P-Bandai releases nowadays, but it is nice to see the retail side stepping up and finally giving us something to REALLY be excited about here.
Hopefully, the retail side continues down this trend.
Anyways, we will be back again this coming Thursday (hopefully) with more Gunpla/ Gundam merch-related posts for this blog, so yes, please do look forward to that!
