In today’s 338th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will be looking at P-Bandai China’s newest Gunpla offering. It seems the China side will be getting a new recolored PG kit. Honestly, it has been quite a while since we saw a new Premium PG kit getting announced, so, understandably, we are excited to see what P-Bandai China has in store here.
So, without further ado, let us get into it, shall we?

That is one beautiful and shiny Astray
Yes, another Astray kit getting that P-Bandai treatment. But unlike the others, this is one that we honestly do not mind as much. For one, it’s a PG kit, and another reason is that it has been a while since we see a new Premium PG Astray kit. We all find it quite surprising that despite Bandai’s love for churning out new Astray design every now and then, that we didn’t see them go crazy with releasing new PG Astrays variants.
Not to mention, we also find ourselves quite impressed by what we see here as well.
Why?
Well, that is because this P-Bandai China PG Astray Red Frame Kai comes with a plated inner frame and clear-colored armor set. Frankly, we think that’s one awesome combo if we were, to be honest, here. That is because you get to see the awesome shiny insides, while at the same time, you have beautiful colored clear-color armor parts paired with the beautiful shiny inner-frame.

Like we said earlier, great combo.
It’s strange when we consider that both Bandai and their P-Bandai side do not do this often with their MG and PG kits. Because man, we reckon they would get alot more people interested with them clear colored kits here if they release more kits like this.
Admittedly, giving the PG Astray Kai them beautiful parts isn’t the only thing we think the P-Bandai China side did right here. We also feel that P-Bandai China made a good choice of the Astray variant to convert into their “China Special” kit, because man, the PG Astray Red Frame Kai is one badass PG kit.
But despite our love for it, we can foresee the asking price for this might be one of the reasons why it would hold anyone back from getting it. Well, that is unless if you’re rich. Then you wouldn’t have any problem getting this kit.
Hopefully whoever do end up getting this kit, please do at least pose it better than how P-Bandai China side did with their promotional materials for this PG kit
But then again, this is a Premium kit, so it kind of makes sense that you as well do get that insane premium asking price as well.
With that concludes our 338th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment for today. After the poor showing last time, this seems to be a much stronger release announcement coming from the P-Bandai China side. Yes, understandably, this is an insanely expensive PG kit, but it is one that we feel is worth getting since it is one of the most impressive clear and plated kits that we’ve seen to date. Well, when we mean worth getting, what we mean is that you have a bucket of unused money stashed somewhere.
