Oh, my new CCA kits!
HELLO! We are back!
In today’s 395th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will look at some of The Gundam Base Limited’s latest Gunpla and Gunpla-related release announcements! Interestingly, Gundam Base Limited decided to release their very own Char’s Counter Attack exclusive kits and merch.
So, without further ado. Let us get into it, shall we?

When we first heard and saw this release, we thought, “ah, Gundam Base Limited would sell these two Soft Vinyl models as one single release.” But after spending time with it, we can conclude that Gundam Base Limited will sell them separately.
It’s not a bad idea since we can properly pair them up with the correct MS. But, quite frankly, it would be nice if they were to package both of them in one single release.

But we do get why they decided to do so because it would be too expensive, we think.
Regardless, we think it’s nice of them to finally make these for both the HGUC Re-Gz and the HGUC v Gundam. Finally, one can recreate pretty impressive dioramas with these.
Although we don’t see the point of getting these besides having them included in a diorama builds. Or better if the Gundam Base Limited chaps decided to add in the right HGUC with the Soft Vinyl kit.
What’s more, we are shocked to see how expensive these Soft Vinyl kits are too! Because we thought at first that the asking price we see here, we get three Soft Vinyl kits, no, instead, you only get one of these. Honestly, we find it hard to justify paying standard HGUC money for one of these Soft Vinyl kits.

So if you’re thinking of recreating the dummy scene for the Re-Gz and the v Gundam, you do have to spend quite a lot of money to buy a few of these Soft Vinyl kits.
But even with that said, we do think that these look fantastic. These two really looked just like their Animated counterparts. We also appreciate that they went as far as to have them painted! So we don’t have to learn how to paint these expensive Soft Vinyl kits.
We admit that we might not be that interested in getting these two, but at the very least, we think these are pretty impressive kits. So, if you do fancy getting one, by all means, go ahead.
HG 1/144 RGM-89 Jegan (Axis Shock Image Color)(HGUC)

Release Date: 16th July 2022
Estimated price: JPY 1,650 (MYR RM 53.67* / USD $ 12.12* / EUR € 11.96*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

The Axis Shock Image color HGUC Jegan is one HGUC Jegan variant we here didn’t expect to see being made into Gunpla.
Why?
Well, it’s a simple enough variant to recreate with light paintwork. And honestly? Most of us here never thought that we needed one too.
But even with that said, we are impressed that Gundam Base Limited decided to release this. And we are even more impressed to see this is quite a good-looking kit too.

We all think the Gundam Base Limited chaps did well with the color scheme, especially the orange glow (the Axis Shock Image color scheme). We are surprised that it pairs well with the original Jegan color scheme because it made the original Jegan color scheme look cool.
You can even pose it as is, and it still looks impressive!
But do not expect this to come with any new extras because from what we can see from its promotional materials, this is basically just a recolored HGUC Jegan release.

But still, it is one good-looking recolored HGUC Jegan release, and it’s one that we wouldn’t mind getting if they decided to sell these at a Gunpla expo.
And that concludes our 395th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment for today. Another pretty excellent week of Gunpla and Gunpla-related merch release announcements we see here!
Seeing all of this positive news coming from P-Bandai and the Gundam Base Limited chaps makes us excited to see what the retail side has cooked up.
We know they’re working on new HGTWFM kits and the upcoming MG Ver.Ka. But we do hope that isn’t the only thing they’re working hard on.
Anyways, we’ll be back again next week (hopefully) with a new blog post. So, please do look forward to that!
